Hi all, back out today collecting more books, one lady wants me to call back on monday as she is not quite finished her order yet and managed to get one other orde, however, she did not sign the bottom of the order form, what should i do ?
Thought i would maybe try her on Mon when back on her street and just check that she actually does want me to order the stuff.

    All advice appreciated.

A few of mine dont either, I just take their order when its ready.
  • Yes, essentially to both questions.

The problem with the system is that a rep may have been allocated an area but not be actually covering it because she's getting enough orders in from either her other streets or F&F. Would be a really good idea if reps let their SLs/ASMs know in such cases as then those streets could be released and re-allocated to another rep. In reality though that doesn't tend to happen. Maybe it's something Avon should look into (anyone with any connections to Avon strategic management looking in on this thread??:rotfl:)

Same process if you are allocated a street you don't want, just notify whoever signed you up and they should release it for you. If you want to be sure you can email your immediate upliner and ask for a copy of your territory as it appears on SMA. (It's a good idea anyway because it wasn't until I became a SL and had access to that part of Avon's website that I realised my own territory hadn't been allocated to me at all! )

How can I check SMA to see what territory Iv got? I dont have a clue how to use it and dont want to start messing on with it coz I know they can stop you using it xx

Double click on My Own Office, which brings up SMA. It should default to your own area and show an emblem for you. Click on that, 'View Territory' and it should show.

Am also still waiting to be trained on it but it seems a long time coming. Gather there are some training videos on the site but hey, who has time to look at everything loaded on the Avon website? LOL

Don't even give it a second thought. Could be wrong but the signature's not important in my book; they can refuse the order when it arrives anyway (or just say they can't afford it). Half my customers never sign their orders and actually I don't even check.

Depends a lot on the area manager how good they are RE making sure territory is actually covered. My old manager couldn't care less - but my new one has told me she will be removing territory from reps who only have say 3 customers out of 80 houses, tell the new rep those 3 houses are out of bounds, then both reps are happy. If the old rep never recanvassed, then lots of potential customers aren't seeing a book. Time will tell how she will stick to this, but sounds good. I signed a new rep up this morning, and did territory for her. Territory given wasn't that local (not miles away, but would have been a long walk)...I have a customer on the neighbouring street who hasn't seen a book in months (she found me on facebook), so I'll be emailing my area manager to let her know and see what she does about it, as that road obviously isn't canvassed as my customer hasn't seen her old rep in months!

Your new ASM may be able to withdraw the territory but there's no way she can declare houses 'out of bounds'. Sorry, that rep now has them as her customer base so even if her territory's given away she can still service those customers as F&F. If your ASM doesn't know that then it has to make you wonder......

PS: Sorry, thanks to A, see I now misread your post....

MC, nice try, but I am sure it will be contravening the rules somehow.

And I am sure there are SLs and Reps who lurk on here, but never identify themselves or only view but don't have an actual log in id.

The only actual way to get around this would be to have a spin off forum ie on proboards and do it that way.

Otherwise I suggest google, twitter or Facebook. ;););)

Worth a try though? Rightly or wrongly I 'feel a connection' to the subscribers to this thread that I don't on any of the other Avon forums/sites I've found so far. We pick up things on this thread that am not sure subscribers would actually post on an 'official Avon' forum.....

Sorry MC, not sure if I am reading your post correctly. What Lozza was saying was that her ASM will remove the territory, but if the original Rep had 3 customers on that territory, she will allow her to keep them as F&F, but tell any future Rep that someone else already has those 3 houses.
