Still have the other half of my customers to canvass but looking at my current orders I reckon I'll be lucky to shift one or two. Mind you, think some must be on their hols/due to go away as a few regulars have not ordered this time.
Roll on Christmas...
I am noticing more and more how one campaign can be better/worse than next - depending on offers in the brochure as well as people being on holiday.
I always find the campaigns with the £20 on Anew = Free Bonus Bag to be absolute winners (like C8 and C11)
Apart from the Fergie in C10 - it was a damp squib for me personally.
Also, the Lotus Shield - I think the success of this is down to two things....
a) Have you spoken to customers specifically & given them a sample? (apparently according to my ASM only use half the sachet at a time else your hair goes mega sticky)
b) Have they seen the TV advert? - now depending where you are on the mailplan cycle - the advert may/may not coincide with when you are dropping your brochures
I think now is the time generally to plug things for the holiday season....for example:
a) SSS bug spray is only £2 in C11/12
b) Suncream - again in C11 is a good price (3 for £9)
I am planning on a couple of school fetes and an open house to see me through my customers being off on their holidays.0 -
Creative ordering
How creative do you people go? I'm familiar with the obvious (even though it took me a few years to see the obvious!) ie. checking for better price in other catalogue, combining orders for freebee etc.
If someone ordered say, a body spray at full price, and they were on offer at 3 for £5 in other catalogue. Would you go with the offer & return 2 to Avon, or is that too cheeky?
I have to say I have no qualms about making as much as pos out of Avon as they are ruthless with making dosh out of us reps.
Interested in your thoughts, (particularly Marsden Cuckoo who seems to be Queen of Creativity!) Thanks."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
Do what you feel happiest with...:afterall if you return some items how are Avon going to know that it wasn't because the customer didn't like them/changed their mindAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Hello All
Back again after a busy weekend. I had an appointment for Saturday morning for a newbie who had confirmed the night before, got there with little one in tow, and she had changed her mind, what with 'not being very good with money'!!!!
Hey Ho! Went to pick up books which took forever as all of my customers wanted to know if I was better after op. (I have been blessed with good customers) and then appointment on Sunday which went really well, wait to see in reality though! Picked up more books yesterday and so far its looking quite healthy. Would do a running total, but the kids have nicked and lost my 2nd calculator!
ASM called over for coffee and Id managed to lose all of my orders from yesterday. Thankfully she found them down the side of the sofa!!!!!
Had a good paperwork day, built another cupboard to hide Avon
Have a party booking for 20 July Yipppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Same day as C11 delivery Boooooooooooohooooooooooooo How stupid am I? But it will be worth it in the long run.
I desperately need to pull in about £850 min this month to hit PC Bronze. Failing that, Will hit with my C13 order, I just really wanted to hit in in 8 camps thats all.
sorted out car and house insurance to cover Avon, so all that is good.
Keep up the good work ladies.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

I was not ''touting'' for business as you put it. I was simply offering advice to Rachael on how to get in touch with someone that may be able to offer her some more support locally.
No where in my post was I trying to recruit her.
Its people like yourself that can really damage boards like this where people are simply offering help and advice. It really can put newbies off posting in the future.
Please think carefully in the future before making comments like this.
You said
"It would probably help if you post where a bouts you are from as there are loads of sales leaders on here and perhaps a local one may be able to give you a call and talk you through it all and then maybe sign you up if you are still interested."
I appreciate you were trying to be helpful. To suggest people sign via a local leader is recruiting which is against site rules, I suggest its you that needs to craft their post more carefully. You cant have one rule for other opportunities and a different one for Avon.0 -
So i have just had amy first order drama on my first order:(
I went through it all with a fine tooth comb, gave all my friends loads of warning that it would be going in at X time.
So i hit the send button and ding my phone goes a text froma friend with a £30 order... So after a minute or two of snarling words at my phone and panicing about what to do, i call up Avon to see if (as i have litteraly just hit the send button) it can be tagged on...after 5 mins of automated blah blah blah i finaly speak to someone
"IM SORRY I CAN NOT TELL YOU IF IT WILL COME ON THE SAME ORDER AS THE REST, THE REST OF YOUR ORDER IS ALREADY BEING PACKED"
Really is it that quick? also as that has been put thru on fast track will it still be in with the rest of the orders MOV/HOV??? or will it just be standing on its own???
Ireally thought i had it all sorted and now im all worried:(C11-£310!!!:j:j:j C12-£249!!:TC13-?0 -
