Hi everyone,
I used to do Avon a year or two ago, and have been looking through the MSE website and forums for ideas on increasing my income. I've just decided to start Avon up again now I've moved into a new area. I'm meeting my SL tomorrow, so fingers crossed I can get going asap!
I just wanted to thank the OP for all the advice, I've had a read through the start and end of this thread to refresh my mind with all things Avoncan't wait to get started again now & look forward to nattering with you all
The advice in the first page, is a HUGE amalgamation of all ideas and suggestions from all MSErs who have contributed to the Avon thread from the beginning. I didn't start it, just updated the first page, but credit is due to ALL the MSErs who have contributed from the very first Avon Hints and Tips Thread. :T0 -

ot of curiosity, I have just started up again, I made £160 of orders so hit the HOV but realised I made a few mistakes and over ordered a few products, my maths isnt brilliant so if my credits take me just below the HOV does what I owe to avon increase?
I am doing my second campaign now and have offered a free gift on orders over £10
I thought that with the sept onwards I would give a raffle ticket to all custoners who place an order (not sure if just an order or a mov of £5-£10) and the winner will receive a huuuge Avon gift (again not sure - thought id see what you guys thought then put together a package that way I get to create it over time and its various products and can say RRP £xx)0 -

I have a little boy who's 3 in October and I'm LOVING doing Avon. I really didn't think I would get as much orders as I do and most of them are friends and family!
I'm just away to get my C14 books out, I started in C11 and was allocated 139 houses. Because of the success of f&f ordering I still have over 70 houses still to get round so I'm going to get them done this campaign hopefully.
With C11 I offered 2 free samples if their order was over £5 just to try and get my first orders in. With C12 I offered a free gift if the order was over £10 and I found this to be very successful. I found C13 quite pants so offered 10% off if the order was over £20. Got about 13 orders but not many of them over £20 so don't have too much to take off my commission. Now I'm struggling with an incentive for C14............anyone got any ideas?
Also, I see some of you send out your own flyers and things with your books, would anyone be willing to show me them?
Well done, LL. If you still have time i.e. haven't yet placed your C13 order then maybe you could work something around the free bathrobe offer?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi everyone, have i question which i hope one of you experts can answer for me. Do the products that I order from HT count toward my MOV or not? im a bit confused by it all at the moment and the more i think about it the more confused i get! lol:rotfl:
Yes, everything you order counts towards your order value - the only thing that doesn't count is your set-up fee.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Today they were doing some sort of upgrading of the site so maybe that was the problem? (Sorry, if that's old news.... am still catching up.)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well thank goodness I have all my avon brochures out (bar the 2 referrals from avon - doing those tomorrow and one is a hairdressers) and all but one delivery. Hardly seen my DD today and been running here, there and everywhere. Caught up with the gossip from my customers - really pushing the customer care now so they are pleased to see me.
Funny really, I hate all the running around, I hate staying up until the early hours until all my orders are packaged, I moan about having to collect brochures as DD either wants to come with me which takes ages or she moans about sitting in the car, I have avon brochures everywhere in the house as well as boxes of products yet I feel strangely compelled to continue. TBH, the only pleasure I seem to get is checking the forms for orders. Think it can be a bit of a love/hate relationship with avon!
I very rarely run promotions - think I did a 10% offer once only for a special occasion but cant remember what it was although it may have been following the birth of DD. Other promotions have only been Fergie and Lotus Shield. But I do put little freebies in with larger orders or those of my 'order every brochure' customers to show my appreciation. Most bits are acquired through creative ordering so tend to be handcreams/footcream/nail varnish/glimmersticks and so forth. Am keeping the 'bigger' bits for Christmas pressies. I will probably sort these out early this year as last year it took ages (days) to sort things out suitable for my customers (ie ensuring bubble bath didn't go to someone who orders shower gel only) and my gorgeous little bags weren't big enough to accomodate larger items so they needed wrapping.
Have noticed a few 'to let' signs spring up around part of my territory so will be investigating to see if any new customers to canvass. Am also going to change my delivery day to tie in with DD's playgroup so as the darker evenings draw in I can get as many deliveries out in the morning going back in the evening for the workers. Someone made a very interesting point earlier about the park homes sites (sorry, cant remember who said it) and thats one idea to bank should I need to find further territory (ASM permitting). Older customers tend to be in during the day, be financially stable, spend a lot of creams, like a chat and buy avon products for their friends/relatives. Good post. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Hiya
Is it a national thing for you to receive an avon gift if you refer a friend to be a rep, or is this something just my ASM has decided to do?
Just wondering what the gift might be and when it may arrive as my friend has placed her second order now, but still no sign...
Thanks0 -
I think most SL's/ASM's offer some kind of incentive for referring a friend to be a Rep. I offered £5 if any of my Reps referred their friends. My SL offered a voucher if I remember correctly.
Just send your ASM a nice email saying you are pleased your referral worked, out and as she is on her second campaign, when would you receive your referral gift?0 -

I do it 2 per page, that way when you print them out and cut them in half, its just the right size to cover the back page of the brochure. The exclusive offer was letting my customesr order 3 lipstick samples for free, regardless of whether they placed an order or not. Not all customers took me up on it (thankfully lol), and only a few picked samples but didn't order...one of them is a lovely lady though so I know she's not taking the p*ss she'll try them and will probably end up buying one!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
