Hi maddielaw i have also just strated last wed and so far have canvassed around 50 houses and gotten 3 orders. Everytime I think its just not worth it I get and order and it boosts me on. Just want to at least reach MOV this campaign and am already thinking about incentives to attract new customers for next campaign.
I suppose we just have to keep going out to new houses and hope for the best.

You could email your SL to double check, but I wouldn't worry yet. Contracts are loaded in order of priority - so anywhere thats order is due much sooner will get loaded first (to make sure they get their account number in time for their order due date)...but it never delays contracts being loaded by that much. Usually 5 working days after posting and its been loaded, in my experience anyway.

Stick with it Maddie - canvass more houses, as much of your territory as you can before your order is due in and I'm sure you'll have more success. It can be hit and miss at work - I had only 2 customers at work for ages....over a year later and now I have 6 ladies having a book of me, as one of them lost their avon lady at christmas and eventually heard through the grapevine that I do avon.

Also, my Area Sales Manager ordered a Summer Sales Package to make up my 1st order to £70, which I cannot afford to pay back to Avon. The products she ordered looked quite good and would probably use some of them myself. Not sure if I can return them and get credit for them, as I don't think I am likely to sell all of it.

Not sure where to go from here and looking for some advice. Do I still continue or give up........ :(. What else can I try, as I used to love doing Avon and did quite well in the past.

    Many Thanks

    :hello:

don't give up yet! My first campaign I made £0, my second campaign was for £35, sales, not discount! and since then it has got better and better.

Keep at it, as I say, shout Avon from the roofs. Tell everyone you do it, family, friends, hairdresser, anyone you meet, neighbours, etc.

With your territory they might be testing to see if you come back.

And naughty ASM! Why did she order that? Did she want it for herself? If so, tell her to come and see you, pay for it and take it. Otherwise, just return it for a credit, you need to log into your account to return for credit. And then return with the courier.

And as for change of ASMs.... I have been receiving emails from all sorts of people as my normal ASM is off sick. And looking at my account, had all sorts of names as ASMs, now done to original, one other, who has not responded to an email I sent 2 weeks ago and one in training ASM!

I was every so pleased, my new asm seems lovely...if a bit too involved lol, but makes a change from having an asm I never heard off!

A neighbouring area (which is MIL area)...asm is off long term sick...a diff asm was babysitting...then last week needed to email about territory for another rep..checked asm details - a completely diff asm is showing on SMA and another on postcode lookup!:p Think I've finally find out which of them is looking after the area at the moment, but dread to think what state that area must be in, as having a covering asm...they won't be as bothered about sorting out territory issues etc. Just glad MIL hasn't had any problems - last camp she was close to giving up..this camp as well as sales were only £80 (but not bad saying as she has less than 20 customers...as she won't recanvass)...but she's got more sales now, and got herself an extra £6 from creative ordering, free bubble bath, free lipstick and free nail varnish....so I think she's got her avon mojo back lol :rotfl:

    LOL - I don't believe my customers!!

Lunchtime today I sent a group email to 32 customers under the subject 'Freebies' saying that I had been clearing out my goodies box and was offering six different items as freebies (a couple of them ANEW products, so not cheap) I listed them and said 1 per person and first come, first served.

Have they been biting my hand off? Nope! Not one reply :D Don't know why I bother really

Wow, can I be your customer Elliebee?

Didn't you offer something by email before, ie first order by email will get something free and no one took you up on it? I think I tried something similar and didn't get much response either.

    Hi everyone,

I used to do Avon a year or two ago, and have been looking through the MSE website and forums for ideas on increasing my income. I've just decided to start Avon up again now I've moved into a new area. I'm meeting my SL tomorrow, so fingers crossed I can get going asap!

I just wanted to thank the OP for all the advice, I've had a read through the start and end of this thread to refresh my mind with all things Avon :D can't wait to get started again now & look forward to nattering with you all :)
