Colonic Hydrotherapy

I'll try do this delicately... I have a mixer tap with a shower hose on my bath, so I removed the shower head and used that.
Went to the loo first, and then lay in the empty bath, used water, and let it come out. Waited until everything out, then repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat etc etc.
What was interesting was that the water would run out completely clear, and then a minute or two later, I'd do it again, with quite a lot of water pressure, and then more would come out, so I know that it was doing what it should do.
This may be TMI so highlight if you want to read it: It dislodged a lot of stuff over the hour and half that I took to do this. I had to take breaks between putting water up to relax and let things come out, and sometimes it felt as though I had a runny tummy, but it definitely worked as some of what I had for dinner about 3 hours before was still undigested... However, everything washed down the plug so there was no real clean up, except I had a shower afterwards and scrubbed the bath with disinfectant. Slept like a baby.
I've always been horrified by the thought of colonics, since I heard about them, which was when princess Diana was having them. I could never imagine letting some stranger put pipes up my behind, so never thought I would have one. But last night, just thought I'd try myself:p
Any other questions, do ask, but I have to go out soon.
I am interested in knowing if I could be doing any damage to myself though. I feel really good today, so am sure I'm not, but some expert may know any risks I took?
I can only assume you are on the wind up!!
If you did this to yourself then please dont do it again. You could kill yourself. :smileyhea0 -

This is the worrying bit - you can perforate the bowel wall if the pressure gets too high.0 -

What difference does the bed make?
Yep! Box is perma-ticked - I'm not switched on enough most nights to remember it otherwise!
The bed I mentioned is a 'purpose-built' colonic bit of kit............(goes off to find pics again!).......http://www.livingwaterscleanse.com/initial_visit.php pic down bottom of the page.
You'd probably be better off removing your trousers tho! :rotfl:But I'm sure you get the idea!
The base bit hides a water pipe & a large flush/loo type system - all very sterile/clean etc. There's a 'view' pipe runs next to the bed, so you can watch! (I've heard red 'Sindy' shoes mentioned from 30 years back - much like the 'marble' chap before).
The wooden cabinet on the wall is where the 'plumbing' is controlled - water pressure, temperature, purification etc.
You get a sterile tube (bic pen size?) to insert, the water's switched on (you have a control valve to use if you want) & you just lie there & relax - I read a book.
The therapist will probably pop their head in, but it can all be controlled / monitored from elsewhere (our therapist monitored 4 at once from her PC in the lobby) so is very private.
Hope that helps.
There are a few practitioners in the UK - Google & you'll find them!

''The procedure consists of very simple system (gravity fed system), where water is introduced into the colon at low pressure, a small amount at a time, the water is at body temperature and the client is in control at all times during the entire procedure. Every step is explained in detail and can be stopped at any time. Many people fear that it may be painful, or that inserting the speculum could be uncomfortable. Another worry or hindrance is the fear of any odours. This is a closed system and everything is washed away through the tube into the sewage system, it is odourless and very discrete.''
This bit in your clinic's description, AngelicMary85, makes it sound like they're using one of the beds.
The ones where I went - in St Andrew's - were sold off, so it's quite likely one has ended up in Inverness!
Enjoy!:mad: :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -
There is nothing lying in your bowels for 10 yrs because your body is extremely efficient at eliminating toxins all on its own. It doesn't need any help.
You wont lose any weight. If you want to lose weight, you have to eat less and move more. Sorry gals, no miracle cures:cool:
As to the DIY thingy, fu cking hell, are you bonkers? You will perforate your bowel and spend the rest of your life with a cholostomy.Retail is the only therapy that works0 -

I disagree. There seems to be alot of info out there regarding colonics and it's all saying the same thing...surely, just you can be right and all the people that have had them done can't be wrong?
No-one is asking for a miracle cure. I think Ceebeeby's comment was meant in jest. We are discussing the pro's of having a colonic and I believe it'll be beneficial, your opinion won't change the way many people feel about colonic's but Thank you for taking the time to reply.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

If it makes people feel better and healthier for whatever reason then that can only be a good thing IMO. As well as losing around half a stone I felt much better overall. I was more awake, felt healthier, skin felt and looked nicer and it cured my IBS so in my book that can only be a good thing. I agree with your last paragraph.
