    Hi only_mee

I'm sorry our website was running slow last night. My colleague had the same difficulties as you.

We have been doing quite a lot of maintenance to our systems recently and this has impacted on the website.

I have just logged in myself and it went through quickly so, hopefully, things are a little better now.

  • The E-on website is still running at snails pace, I want to make a change to my plan but can't access my account. Have tried telephoning them, it took 25 minutes to get through and was told that I can only do it on-line!

It may have something to do with the letters that have been dropping through peoples letterboxes this morning saying that Saveonline plans are coming to an end (from today)!

Yes think that must be it. Really annoying a s when I got through on the phone I was advised that if I went on another tariff (think its save online 3) I would save £58 but I HAVE to do it online and I cant even get on the site.
  • Exactly the same happened to me! I was sent a letter letting me

know my tariff had just expired and that they had put me on a

'standard online tariff'. After eventually getting through to them I

was told I'd save £60 a year by switching to 'save online 3', which

I'd have to do myself online!......So why don't they just put you on

the best tariff to begin with and save all this kerfuffle!!! :o

    Hi hollyrobs

Really sorry for the delays with our website recently. This was due to extra demand caused by a batch of letters which were sent out late/incorrectly.

I have posted quite a bit about this on another thread today. Please see the link below.

    Hi hollyrobs

Often, new tariffs have various restrictions and tie-ins which some customers will find unacceptable. Therefore, it wouldn't be correct to switch them automatically to these products.

Instead, we will attempt to place them on a product nearest to their current deal but where they can switch tariff/supplier easily if they wish.

Where a similar tariff isn't available, we will put them on to standard prices when their existing deal ends. Again, this leaves them free to switch tariff/supplier.

Usually, letters are sent out prior to the end of the current tariff advising of the imminent end date/replacement product and asking customers to contact us if they wish to opt for a different tariff.

This is what we failed to do with Saveonline 1 as the letters went out way too late.

Hope this explains what we do when products come to an end hollyrobs. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.

I have been trying to access the Eon website this morning and it is very slow.

I can't even pay the bill (received today)!

Have just moved from Scottish Power - at least their website worked!
