Hi
Bit confused as to whether the Saveonline 2 or 3 is better value. The prices for v.3 seem lower than v.2 (which I am currently on) but 'compare and switch' facilities are showing it as more expensive.
Any ideas gratefully received.

AFAIK The Saveonline V2 has a total discount of approx 25% and the unit prices are the same as standard prices. There are Tesco clubcard points available on V2 on also no exit fee.
Saveonline V3 has an 8% discount for paying duel fuel by DD and a guarentee for unit prices to be 6% lower than standard prices until Nov 2011 (i think). Also no clubcard points and an exit fee if change supplier before end of tarriff.
Taking all this into account i beleive that V2 is actually better value than V3. Although i also believe V2 is no longer available to switch to for any customer, existing or new, so beware if you switch away from V2 you will not be able to go back onto it.
I am sure an EON rep will be along soon to either confirm or correct the above0 -

Hello Equaliser123,
Advantix is pretty much spot on with everything mentioned.
The major difference between the tariffs is that version 2 offered an extra discount (on top of the standard Direct Debit discount) where as Version 3 offers discounted unit prices (and the standard Direct Debit discount).
If you’re already on SaveOnline2, why not use one of the comparison websites to see if it works out any better for you on the new tariff.
Thanks

My aged mother in law's Staywarm contract is about to end and Eon has suggested she would be better on their Warmassist Fixed tariff. I think she'd save quite a bit by moving to the Saveonline v3 tariff instead. Is this Saveonline v3 tariff available to existing Eon Staywarm/Warmassist customers?0

Thanks - as I mentioned in the original post, I have used a comparison website - hence the confusion.
Can you confirm whether the prices quoted are before or after the discount - it really isn't clear from your website.
If they are pre-discount, then it seems that v.2 is a higher price but higher discount that the lower price (but lower discount) v.3.
I really wish you guys would just post the actual current price for the plan.0 -
Hi strawberrylane,
Yes, existing customers are okay to switch over to SaveOnline. This includes customers on the Staywarm tariff. The only condition is that the electricity meter must be one of the standard types, i.e. single rate or Economy7.
Thanks

Hello Equaliser123,
The newest SaveOnline tariff (SaveOnline 3) does not included a high discount like the previous online tariffs. The unit prices themselves are lower and you will only receive the standard Direct Debit discount.
So any prices you will have seen are exclusive of the discount, however this is only a Direct Debit discount (duel or single fuel).
As company representatives, we're not allowed to post unit rates, discounts etc on the forum. You'll find this information on the third party websites and also our website.
Thanks

Brian,
I very recently had a quotation from Eon based on SaveOnline 2 and clicked on the link today to accept to switch over and it wont work.
It says quite clearly at the bottom of the email that the links will work for 90 days, but it does not.
If the offer runs til August 31st, why cant I take advantage of this offer?
Please advise. SaveOnline 3 just isnt worth the hassle.0 -
