    Is back from swimming :)

And is still standing - just :D

I haven't been for 3.5 years, and only managed 8 lengths then - though it was when my back was particularly bad (the reason for going then). I managed 20 lengths today, so was really pleased with that.

I reckon the running helped though, as I found it easier to control my breathing and actually felt that my legs were doing some of the work (when I was at school they often made me swim with a float to get my legs to make a proper effort, as they reckoned I was doing most of the work with my arms).

When I got out of the water I thought my legs were about to collapse from under me, but having walked home (10-12 mins) they don't feel anywhere near as bad..... so I guess tomorrow morning will be the decider as to whether it was a wise move or not rolleyes2.gif

Is now off to do some number-crunching to see if I can set up a 'health kick' budget from my extra Tax Credits (which means i can then class today as an NSD)

Declaring today as NSD #10 :T

Numbers crunched, and totally surprised myself (though it explains why I have money left in the bank rather than cutting it close each month - and why I didn't have the major struggle to get DS his laptop for Uni that I expected)

My 'Live on £8k' budget is totally covered by my basic salary and pensions (nett) plus child benefit - even after allowing for 2 of the 3 pensions and the CB only being payable for part of this year.
My 'Social Life' budget is funded by anything extra I get from work for extra hours (nett overtime payments).
So this leaves ALL my Tax Credits totally untouched, which is actually a nice amount even though it's only payable until September - with a (very) small amount of WTC possible after that only if I can maintain an average of 30 hours or more (contract is only 29).

So I'm going to run a seperate (and non-declarable for challenges) budget for my '[strike]getting[/strike] keep fit' activities and equipment :D

** is now off to move all such expenses from 'live on' spreadsheet into a new one, and see how much nicer things on there balance afterwards ;) **

Just popping in to report my NSD NUMBER 6, Mistress Spoon

Popped into town with hubbie to switch his books at the library but neither of us felt that well so came home straight afterwards and thus preserved my NSD

I have been doing eBay today as we make a mad last minute scramble for cash for spending money for our holidays and will be doing the same tomorrow so looks good for another NSD, though we do have to pop into town again with hubbie's registration form for dentists so I can make his appointment to get abcess sorted before we go away

Will report in again late tomorrow - off now for a quick catch-up on the thread

Thanks everyone for the hugs, poems & kind words, it has helped me loads
(even though i just cried at the bloke who lost his passport on some dodgy customs programme i've got on in the background!!)

    Managed number 6 today :j
Have decided i need to get motivated & start to pay attention to the little things such as healthy eating & shaving my legs, as opposed to it having to be a huge sledgehammer job, or doing absolutely nothing & counting the hours till bedtime!!!
Not made the best start to this today, but am going to give myself today as by last moping day & tomorrow you will all meet the new improved no longer moaning BDINI!!!!! Wish me luck!!:D

    Hi BDINI
You don’t need luck, you’re an incredibly resourceful person who’s just having a bad run of things and you certainly don’t moan much bearing in mind what you are going through.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, you need some time to just chill and do nothing.

    Take care
    ((((hugs))))

    Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear about the rough times some of you have been having. Hope things get better very soon.
    (( HUGS ))

I've had some bad spends over the weekend - paid for my OH's car and insurance initial payment - but I would like to report that I had NSD number 2 yesterday! :)
