Good tips there, Herby. Now if I could wire up our computer so that when OH is on Ebay and clicks the Buy Now button, ten thousand volts shoot up his aaarrsse......
Nargle if you perfect that let me know, my DH spends way too much time on Ebay, thankfully he does spend his own money but sometimes the tat that comes through the door is unbelievable!

I found out that 1 receipe was in Julys issue, and the 2nd is in Augusts issue thats out now. They didnt tell me they were going to publish so Ive missed out on Julys copy. :(
Karen, try contacting the magazine and explaining what's happened, they may send you a complimentary copy or a scan of the pages with the recipes on save buying them, there again someone on here may have the mag and would scan it for you?, save buying a back issue. Hope you get a copy somehow, its nice to look back and see stuff like that :)

sorry haven't been on folks been busy making my new handbag, and its finished whoo hoo, so saved myself £40 on a new bag. My new bag is the same colour as the one wanted:D.Best of all it didn't cost me a penny as i made it from an old pair of cord trousers:j
The bag sounds fab - any chance of posting a pic? There's lots of clever people on here !

Morrning All,well I did my list last night now I just need to go to the shop, leave OH outside THEN I will come out with what's on the list, what???!!! OH say's 'I'm not staying outside whilst you shop' Damm bang goes the budget again:( Good Luck to everyone else.

OH'S and shopping are not always a good combo! There is a shopping centre somewhere that has a "man creche" while the World Cup is on - an area with sofas and a big telly and newspapers etc so you could park your OH while you go to the shops.:T
I am declaring NSD #4 early today although it was a close thing. Just left work at lunchtime when I got the call " Could you get me some tobacco on the way home, there's no shops where I am" (whiny voice)
Well, I've been nursing a wee fly tenner in the back of my purse ;) cos Im going out for lunch on Friday, so I said ok but you WILL BE PAYING ME BACK, MISTER! I got the said baccy, and took the money out of OH's pound coin saving bottle - so no spend!!;) Im being VERY tight I know!:rotfl:
Hope your day is going ok:)

Not a nsd for me, Took my lodger up to Wood Green this morning so popped in to IKEA to buy a mat to put under the cat food as they keep spreading it all over the tiles and causing me to have to scrub the floor:mad::mad::mad:

Still I came out with meatballs and the mat, sum total of about £6. If I'd been told that one day I could do that in IKEA I'd have laughed at them. Progress is being made.

I'm off out to get physio on my knee in a little while, will probably be on later on as it tends to wear me out. I wish I had CW's energy.

Everyone else seems to be doing well. Glad to see you feeling positive Herbie

Kezlou are you taking commissions? Do you have a photo?

Nargle keep the thrilling installments coming, I'm on the edge of my seat. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
