Well done Jo on being debt free, I bet thats a fab feeling!!

Sneaking 1 last NSD in for the month, taking my total to 15, not bad for a first attempt :D

I'm having a lazy night tonight, hubby is out so I'm vegging on sofa with soaps and ice cream and enjoying the peace while I can! ;)

Hope you all have a fab weekend x

Another NSD for me today. Which makes it 10 altogether. One more to reach target.

    Wooh hoo!

Declaring today as NSD 15 so revised target met
    spoon, so bring on Johnny:T:T

Back from another hectic day...infact a manic week!! I hate end of academic years!!! It hasn't been helped by the only two permanent admin staff being told they had to take their TOIL beforer the end of the month or lose it, so off they went...don't blame them! It did make this week pretty hard on the rest of us though. So it was up to me and another (normally a tutor, only been trained up in admin stuff the past few weeks) to (wo)man the fort. Lots of things had to be done this week...so I have ended up doing a 38 hour week:eek: I usually only do 12-16 hours!! Still, my pay-cheque will look better for July, despite being away on holiday (bank-staff, so no holiday pay ;)).

Really tired...didn't sleep well at all last night...asthma again (probably stress-related :o)...really looking forward to a lazy weekend, though I would have liked to get things done...so we'll see how things go.

Really have to get some baking done...both sons eating us out of house and home atm!

May be spending tomorrow, but would like to see if we can leave it until Sunday...and August! Can't belive we're this far on through the year already!

Can I ask... Do people find that NSD's really help them cut down on thier spending? Or do you find you still spend as much you just push it to other days?
I found it a real eye-opener when I first started trying to limit the days I spend. For example, I could draw out £100 cash at 9:15 am thinking it would last at least five days & then make excuses like cost of petrol going up if I had to get my card out again before then. Now, the thought of spending £100 in one day horrifies me, so I think a lot more about the things I am buying.
I used to think "we're getting low on [eg] apples" & go buy some, but now they have to eat the pears/ grapes/ plums/ etc first & wait till my next spendy day for anything else :p

....Great news is my Step-Dad came out of hospital That's wonderful :T

As for the NSDs, I've completely lost the plot and I'm pretty sure I haven't had any in the last couple of weeks (my bank balance supports that :( ) I was just about to say I'll stop here and rejoin next month but, you know what, as there are still 4 possible days left to get I'm not giving up! Just 1 more would take me to half my target :)....
See! It's that 'glass half full' mentality creeping in--& dunttit feel sssooooo gggooooooooddddd love-smiley-062.gif

Right, hold on to your hats for a Spoon-inspired catch-up!
Changing PETS DIETS; I know for dogs you are supposed to do it gradually over a couple of days so presumably it's the same for cats. May that be the cause for the upset tum?
Like your thinking too Trin, about finding your own way of achieving your targets & Well Done You!

Have you enjoyed your day out Spoon?

May I respectfully ask you all to read post 1503 again, as I feel this is more than appropriate for our common goal.

As to me, been a bit :o:eek::(:undecided:angry: & in virtually equal measure but hey--there you go. Some days are Diamond & some days are coal [apologies for quoting a song lyric without flagging it up, but couldn't tell you the originator if I tried! Too many cover versions to list..] Among the mayhem tho, I have acquired another two nsds so have reached Target no2 of 20. I really fancy that frisky fowl so I'll swallow hard & say Bung another two days on the target barbie please Spoon action-smiley-006.gif

Congratulations Jo!!! So pleased for you, it must be a lovely feeling. Just two more years for me, seems like a long old slog but it'll be worth it in the end.

Sorry to hear your cat is still under the weather Jinty, hope your vet can get to the bottom of it. Animals can be so frustrating, wish they could tell us where it hurts!

An unexpected 17th NSD for me today, even managed to bypass the shop on the way home with the devil on my shoulder saying "its Friday night Kate, go on, treat yourself to a bottle of wine" but i kept my eyes straight forward and resisted! Sat here with a cuppa now feeling smug :)

No way tomorrow will be a NSD tho, need to get a bottle in to take over to my friends house tomorrow night for our girly night in.
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....
