Hi to all NSDers,
I have just confirmed with OH that no money has left our pockects today except for the budgeted expense of having a nine year old on holiday. However, luckily the cost of playing tenis for two and a half hours has gone down and at the moment stand at £5.
Anyway, it is another NSD for our little family unit - number eleven, I believe.

Will you tell the folk on here about your upcoming new venture, as I don't feel it is my place..& like others have said, in the whole scheme of things a spend day isn't exactly life-threatening

I was going to come on here and declare another NSD, right up until 8 o'clock, didn't take my purse with me and everyfing, but my bestest friend in the whole world came down from liverpool and I went to the pub with her. I don't mind, those type of spends are what this is all about....
On the subject of virtual outings--are we in France or wots appnin *hands on hips* It's getting a bit scary here on the lilo just outside Calais so urree-up & decide willya!

Fab news Moneypenny about the jeans, well done you!!!
For all the oldies amongst us, i love this poem by Jenny Joseph
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.
Have to admit to only being in my 30's, but trust me, when i dragged myself out of bed at the crack of dawn, feeling shattered & saw how many grey hairs i had i felt really old!!!! (damn the grey hair gene i inherited from my dad )
So LSD today on hair dye, am now a vibrant red & feeling soooo much betterFebruary NSD challenge 5/150 -

ETA: And having made my butty, I've now realised I also need a cucumber! Must remember to pick one up on my way out of work....
Came home, had a brew while getting changed, then went out for the club run.
But, as the route home takes me past the store, I couldn't resist popping in to see what good Whoopsies there were (plus realised I didn't have appropriate items in to leave DS to fend for himself for 2 cooked meals this weekend, so wanted to check out pizzas/ready meals and pick something up for one of them).
Ended up phoning him to see which pizza option he wanted as there were a couple of reasonable offers on. Ended up with two packs of Chicag0 T0wn deep dish pepperoni ones on BOGOF. So that's one pack for this weekend, and one in for probably the weekend after.
Whoopsie-wise I picked up
Sm@rtie Doughnuts 4 pack [strike]£1.09[/strike] 49p
Swiss Crown [strike]£1.05[/strike] 49p
French Stick (for DS) [strike]60p[/strike] 25p
Almond Croissants [strike]£1.00[/strike] 49p
Lemon and Mixed Fruit Loaf (a new one, and the one thing I was hoping to get) [strike]99p[/strike] 19p
Polish Bloomer (still not tried this despite it being a line we do every day) [strike]95p[/strike] 19p
Whipping Cream [strike]98p[/strike] 25p
So my Whoopsie haul cost me £2.35 for goods worth £6.65
Now planning not to spend anything until Monday (next D/Debit day), so will hopefully meet my extended target on SaturdayCheryl0
