....Well, not so little, he's about five foot two and I'm only five foot three - will have to chop his legs off, methinks!)
That brought back some memories! No1 & daddy were having a true teenage moment, when daddy suddenly said mid finger-wag--& I quote!--"Stop growing when I'm trying to tell you off!" Any chance of the recipe for the florentines *said vvvvvarrry nonchalantly while tucking imaginary stray strand of hair into equally imaginary coiff*. It might be something the kiddies [whose? MINE ?? They're starters in the NBA they're so flippin tall _pale_] would enjoy..& for goodness sake DON'T post a link to a thread that shows creamed confectionery *covers eyes with both hands AND a well folded double duvet cover that should have been put away yesterday *

Now on that fearsome 12A & not looking good to chance things today dagnabbit

cw18: well done for no 16 (you reported 15 yesterday, so I’m assuming it’s 16 today??)... Johnny Depp is moving ever closer;)
Whoops! Yep, yesterday was indeed #16....

Seems all this training isn't good for my brain, as I'm much more tired in an evening :o

Dare I confess I'm another who doesn't understand the fuss about Mr Depp ?!?!? But I have my eye on the Dancing Chicken - and possibly the party one (as long as you have a non-alcoholic one tucked away for me) ;)

Declaring early today: NSD no 9. :j

Got a veg box coming this afternoon, but wrote the cheque out on Monday my last spending day (for 4 weeks-worth) ... is that cheating??

Have decided it isn't...so counting as an NSD. :D

Visiting a friend this afternoon who had an eye op on Monday. She is home now, but had to spend Monday night in hospital. The op took over 3.5 hours, and in recovery her temp shot up to 39 degrees C :eek:!!! She has to spend the first week lying down, only getting up to go to the loo, no more than 10 mins in an hour!! She had her other eye done last year (diabetes has caused bleeding in her eyes), so she is used to the routine. Here's hoping she won't need too many more ops and that she will be allowed to drive eventually....she is only 42 and this has been going on for nearly a year so far !

She was great last year looking after me when I was ill, so I am returning the compliment...planning a few trips out for when she is fully recovered and up to going out. He eyesight will take 6 weeks or so to fully recover, but as her other eye is good now, she will be in a better state than after the last op.

Right must stop and get some baking done, and the washing out again...the rain plumps are coming every so often atm, but lovely sun inbetween, so may get the rugs dried eventually!!

Have a great day everyone, hope it rains in the south, and stops in the northl!!!

Took hubbie to dentist this morning but he was feeling sorry for himself afterwards so we came straight home

Then tonight, 'cause someone (not mentioning any names If Wishes) posted pics of fresh cream scones on Notice to Newcomers 7, he wanted some himself - to make him feel better (men ) We had a few scones somewhere in the freezer but he wanted more than marmalade on them and that was all we had in the house (we don't buy butter/marg/spread and certainly not cream)

    Ooops Sorry 3Dogs!! sunglasses.gif

:jifwishes: well done for no 11 (think you got no 10 on Sunday - you’re doing better than you think you are). Hope the spendy day isn’t too painful;)

    Thanks Spoony I can't believe I did that!!!:eek::o:o

Small spend this morning - but I'm not counting it 'cos it weren't my fault wink.gif

After my run last Thursday I called into Mr M for the value tortillas I'd forgotten after work, which I'd planned to use on Saturday but didn't due to changing my extra hours from Sun to Sat - hence going up to OHs on Saturday instead.

They were marked best before 26th, so I juggled my meal plan to use them tonight.

About an hour ago I started pulling together everything I need for cooking tonight (after I get home late), and the totillas had started to turn green

Went down to the store to change them, but all 3 packs left on the shelf (with the same date) already had small spots of green on them too

Only choice was to part-ex them for some dearer ones, the Mr M (non value) ones being the cheapest option at 99p/pack (or 2 packs for £1.50 which makes them cheaper ;)). So I got two of those (which I would have done on Thursday had the offer been on) and had to pay the difference, though it wasn't really the full amount (68p) as I'd already had 8p staff discount on the ones I returned, but got the full 82p credit and the full 15p staff discount on the new purchase :)

So instead of using 6 tonight I'll be using my normal 4 (it didn't seem worth freezing just 2 and they were slightly smaller than the ones I've been using anyway), and splitting the second pack so I have two bags of 4 in the freezer for future use :D
