Ah shed 7, great band, reminds me of my teenage indie days
I've been up since 4.30am! Boyf is going away and for some reason we both got up really early. So I've done ebay wrapping ready to post and I've been to asda and aldi on the bus to buy the months staples and fresh stuff for the week, back and had breakfast - soyaflakes, soynuts, kefier (?sp) with blue berries and raspberries, and a (soy) milky coffee YUM. Just threw on a pair of wide legged jeans (£1 carboot), black leather converse (free from boyf younger brother), black t-shirt (50p carboot) and red adidas indie tracksuit top (gift but was bought in sale) and french connection oversided sunglasses (50p carboot), armed with shopping trolley and a couple of jute bags, gosh I'm stylish
Not sure what outfit for today is going to be, am vol. in BHF charity shop later today so something funky but practical, I got LOADS of compliments on my outfit yesterday, although i think it's amazing what a bright lipstick and smile can do for me as I was feeling a bit glum yesterday. I'm going to try not to buy anything today and save my money for a double dose of carbooting on Sunday. One starts at 6am and another at 10, and if I'm buying a bus ticket it would be rude not to visit both of them me thinks*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
Char, unsure on ironing, I'm the kinda girl who irons as I go, and to be honest my draws and wardrobe are so full it would be pointless having someone iron it all because it would only get all creased again*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

Oh i think I may have to try soy milk on cereal. Or bring some yogurt. I brought a box of cereal to work yday so that it will hopefully remind me to have breakfast more often! But I really couldn't stand the milk, and only put a drop on this morning
Me too about the wardrobes, queen, but I have been ironing for a few friends for a whyile now, and had a few more ppl ask about rates in the last couple of days. Usually I iron whilst I babysit for one of the friend's I already do that for, so I don't really have a set ironing rate there, and the others tend to bring it round one week if they come over for tea etc and pick up again next time they are round, so I dont' have to drop off or anything. However, this is one wherre I'd need to go pick up and then drop off again, so I was thinking £10/basket inc. collection to suit her. BUt I'm worried in case that's loads :S0 -
my sister has a cleaner/ironing lady and she pays her £35 a week to clean the house and do all her ironing, I don't know how often she comes or how much ironing she does, so I guess that's not very helpful!!
I had Alpro light today (I don't have anything sweetened) and it's quite nice, if you're going to put it in hot drinks though you have to warm soy milk first otherwise it curdles. Kerfir is good too, it's a thick polish milk (found in the polish section in the supermarket) and it's not as watery as milk but not as thick as yogurt, it works well on ceral type breakfasts, it tastes slightly sour so quite different to milk, maybe that might work? I always find a couple of boiled eggs (cold) and a piece of fruit quite good at breakfast time, esp. if I'm not feeling overly hungry x*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
hi everyone
Been off at glasto then my dads on the way back because it was on a friends way home. Been feeling absolutely terrible since with some kind of cold/fluI thought i'd hit the worst yesterday but now im not sure.
Anyway, i did have a fantastic time at glastonbury and miraculously barely hit any queues on the way in or out. We got pitched by about 8.30 and got to b'ham within about 3.5hrs (though we had got up at 4am).
Saw some great bands. Loved gorillaz most but my list of smaller bands albums to buy has grown a lot. Liked vampire weekend, the king blues and the national. Didn't quite get the massive fuss for stevie wonder but watched a few songs from the top of the hill and then ended the weekend with ash followed by the song i know of empire of the sun & some dancing in the silent disco.
The weather was amazing but i didnt fare too well in the heat - my backs peeling despite the suncream/hiding under a scarf and i passed out on thursday night trying to watch a band from a huge crowd.
I'll be back more once im feeling better
ps. i prefer rice milk to soya but it's quite sweet.0 -
Marzi I hope you had a good time anyway despite the heat and the passing out!
I really like vampireweekedn and king blues!
forgot outfit before:
pale blueey turquoise vest top, h&m
beautiful grey skirt with pink / green floral print and net underneath, primark
pinky peach lace tights
those awful flat bronzey shoes from peacocks, whcih i am only wearing for work.
going to suprise a friend at her engagement party this eve, as i had been invited, but initially the dragon boating was the whole weekend so woyuldn't have been able to make it. its now just tomorrow, so i am off up to visit them for a couple of hours..
have just had my latest 2 dresses arrive in the post though and im not sure whether i should change hahah
queen - i picked up the ironing from my friend and she seems more than happy with £10, and it's a huge basketful so i don't feel so bad..i'm dropping it home to her on sunday morning..0 -
Marzi - Glad you had fun. I've felt like death since I got back, reckon my liver's packed up after a week-long OD on cider and rose wine.
PF - I loved Shed Seven even though Rick Witter was a bit of an **se. They've just reformed after years away. They'll be raking in the royalities as BBC has been playing "Getting Better All The Time" during the footie coverage.
Talking of royalities, Jon's biggest hit has been on the Cadbury's Dairy Milk advert around the world for the past three months, should be a nice little earner :j! 6 months in India next year???
I've been swimming today followed by a smooch around town in the sunshine. Friday's ain't the same without meeting my Mum so I tend to feel a bit weepy. To cheer myself up I've treated myself to a rather nice 1970's frock which I'll perhaps blog later.
Today's outfit:
Vintage gingham maxi (same as yesterday) with a pair of killer heeled clogs and my vintage leather Gladstone bag, huge oversized 70's shades and a huge hormonal zit....yuk!0 -
Goan, my friend loves him, she kept saying how much she fancies him lol, but he totally did come across as an a*** lol
ETA _ haven't blogged for ages....0 -

Talking of fancying men, I did get to see Jack White at Glasto, now there's a cute guy.0 -
