Afternoon ladies
We actually did a carboot today at the cricket club, very busy but did have a wonder around and picked up some lovely costume jewllery (river island) and a topshop tunic and a pair of gladiators from dotty p's , made about £60 so all good!!
Alex, if your bras are in good nic, you could sell them on ebay, i sold 3 from M&s for about a tenner, all money in the pot:p
Queenie, the comedy club was fab a few years ago ( i havn't been for about 4 years) but i've heard recently it's not so good. However i recommend John Bishop when he comes to the echo arena, hilarious, i have to wear a tenna lady when i go:o nice... Never been to kemos, we enjoy nandos and if your looking for a cheap chinese buffet we like the buffet star. All of which we havn't been to in about 18 month due to trying to pay down the debt as fast as possible:T nearly there:T
Well done marzipan on exams, (glad you like the jacket, i did too)
Today's outfit was all about comfort, Jeggins (primark £4) Black tunic (la redoute via car boot £1) animal print cardy (friend, free) animal print belt (matalan £1) jewlled sandles (freind free) pearl earrings and lots of bangles.
Sharron xxxSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
I was at the car boot - picked up a few nice books including some 50s kids hardbacks, a couple of dresses and two Topshop silk scarves.
Sharron, whereabouts were you? I saw Queenie but came over all shy and didn't go and say hello0 -
Oh and outfit. It was black leggings and a green and black rose patterned top earlier on but I'm going out for something to eat now so have changed the top for a black, grey and white Missoni-type patterned knit dress (Per Una) and my quilted ballet pumps plus lashings of silver jewellery.0

Aw sweetie I'd have loved it if you'd said hello...i however was in my own little carboot world and saw no one! I hope when you saw me I wasn't rummaging in a pile of clothes flashing my pants!!
Sharron - I visited every stall so it's possible I saw you but don't know it, I had on cropped jeans, deck shoes and a navy lace detail top which buttoned up the back, carrying an over full asda jute bag (and if you saw me towards the end a tesco blue reusable bag too!)
My haul is in the usual place*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
No i don't think i did see you queenie, but i think we both spied the same pair of shoes lol. I must admit i left dh a lot whilst i went rummaging
and i too am in my own little world!! I wasn't selling many clothes ( mostly kids and my sisters size 10's) I was with dh and dd, dh had a hamnet t-shirt on and dd was all in pink with long blonde hair. Apparently there is a great one at burscough every sunday and it's an early start so may try that one next week.

ah sounds like we missed eachother. yeah those topshop pink shoes were gorgeous, but a 5 would have cripped me.
I don't drive so I stick to the ones I can get to on the bus, but next week I won't be carbooting cos sunday is the only day I'll get with darling boyf over the weekend and the following weekend I'm away. I got a good haul in today though to make up for missing the next two weeks lol*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
thankyou everyone for the congrats
I'm on my own for a few days as OH has gone down to his parents. I'm heading down on thursday for a long weekend and then we'll head back home together. He wanted me to go with him now i think and i like staying with his family but it's a bit too crowded especially as he's only got a single bed.
Took some pics of the jacket but i've forgotten my photobucket password and guessed too many times so im locked out. shall try again sometime0 -
Ah Alex, you wally! You should have said hi to Queenie, what are you like? lol!
YOu sound like you've got some great bargains today. Mine were mostly toy related but I did get a lovely blind which I think is a Festoon or Austrian blind for our bedroom, and a cute little floral pot for my dressing table for 20p - pics are over on the Shabby Chic thread if you want a peek!
Once again I'm in denim cut offs and a brong T-shirt. It seems I spend too much time bending over to wear little dresses lately! Ooh er!
I promise to try harder once I stop sweating so much.0
