  • Did you only order yesterday? That's super quick.

I was out gardening early this morning before it got too hot and after a shower I'm now wearing a maxi dress with purple, pink and black flower pattern, Matalan via cs.

Yeah, about midday yesterday. I'm impressed! The confirmation said it could take up to 7 days.

Also good news on exam results, passed 3rd year :D. Very inconsistent results but it averages out ok! Ranges from 41% (further quantum mechanics) to 88% (programming).
I was so paranoid that i was going to be kicked of the course :o
  • Well done with your exams, Marzipan :T

    Well done Marzipan:beer:

Just been pottering on in the garden, trying to find some big containers to plant potatoes in, know its a bit late but worth a try, the other ones are currently growning in an old toy box of DS's;)

Well done Marzi! You sound seriously clever - don't think I could manage 4% on further quantum mechanics!

Oh I can't get up early on both weekend days, I like my bed too much!

Queenie, I have a charity shop related question for you. Will they take underwear? I'm having a major clear out of stuff that doesn't fit and there are variou bras and pants in the pile. Don't want to send them stuff they can't do anything with but I have a vague idea that you can mark bags up as rags and the charity shop will still get some money for them?

you didn't miss much hun, it was in the underground carpark only about 20 sellers, I did manage to get a few cd's for 50p each and a topshop plain black jersey dress for £2, so not all bad, and then popped to lidl for some shopping so it wasn't a wasted journey.

british heart in bold street won't take them, well they will but they'll end up in rag. Some charity shops do sell underwear, I've noticed it in passing but because I don't buy it personally I don't know which ones. Maybe a quick ring around a couple could tell you?

Queenie - are you still helping out in the CS now you are working? I so want to help out in one, think it would be fab.

I'm popping in tomorrow for the afternoon after I've been carbooting. My employers allow flexible working, as long as I work my 35 hours I can do them whenever over the 5 days or even 4 days, so once I've settled in I'm thinking I might pick a day in the week or even a morning where I go into the charity shop, sundays are a bit slow because there are no deliveries. I do love it so it's something I want to keep doing, plus I want to keep a hand in incase a job comes up because even though the pay is rubbish I'd rather do something I love for less wages, than something I don't like for more, if that makes sense

  • well done Marzipan that's fab news :D

so the rest of my day...I went to Kemo's for lunch (be interested to see what other people in liverpool think of it, I personally love it), then popped to Bootle and walton for a sot of charity shopping, with a purpose ;) I was looking for a vintage looking tea cup and saucer for my sisters birthday, she's having a mad hatters tea party, I managed to find a tea set, 8 cups, 7 saucers, 10 side plates, 2 dinner plates and a bowl all for £3, think I'll make it into a set of 6 and then just got to figure a way to wrap it safely for posting, really pleased.

Also picked up a couple of bits for myself (of course), barnardos in bootle were having a £1 sale day on all clothes so I picked up a h&m military style cropped jacket and a miss selfridge navy top with lace detail and it buttons up the back both £1 each. Then in walton the same shop as the tea set I picked up a pair of river island slim leg jeans for £2. So all in all a good day :)

and with two carboots tomorrow I'm sure shopaholic queenie will have more to report tomorrow! You off to the cricket club tomorrow alex/sharron?

  • Also I'd other liverpool peeps opinion on baby blue comedy club...me and boyf decided very last minute (like 30 mins before the show started) to go, it seemed quite average but would love to know what others think and whether there is somewhere better for comedy in the area.

Last night I wore - gap cropped jeans (charity shop), topshop black dress/top with shoulder pads and sequins (brand new charity shop), gladiator sandals (H&M last year), white parrot earrings

and today I'm wearing - Gap cropped jeans again (charity shop), black/grey striped vest (new look sale last year), red herring grey batwing cardi (brand new charity shop), black gladiator sandals (h&m last year) cameo earrings

have a lovely evening all xxx
