Rainy - so jealous of your thrifting in the USA
DS1 just come back from his induction into seniors with a letter that also states they won't authorise holidays during term time nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like it'll be one holiday every 5 years as OH works shifts and has set time off0 -
hahaha lola, our schoool used to say that. we still went on holiday every year. what can they actually do about it? i could never figure that out. we didn't fail any exams etc so i'm sure it can't have a detrimental effect on the education of any child!0

And all the little guides/tips/tutorials you used to do were fab, I'd love to see another one soon.
I got my thinking cap on and dedicated today's blog post to you, Queenie! Hope you like it.0 -
Lola, i think all LEA's are saying that now and giving the school 2 weeks off in May, the problem is the holiday companys will cotton on to it and add that into the price. Riddiculous tho, i can understand if a child has a lot of absence but i honestly can't see that 10 days would make a difference to a child with excellent attendance. I do feel for teachers, all the stress of the job and then they have overpriced holidays as they can't take time off. Auckward one me thinks.
SharronSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
Evening,
Tech hassles here - laptop hard drive has died, so have lost everything that was on it. Luckily most pics are on Flickr and I emailed my CV to my Hotmail ages ago (save me typing out all those little white lies again! :rotfl:).
£85 to replace it - s'pose that's not bad if it works again and I can get more life out of it rather than buy a new one.
Loitering in the office, feel I have nothing to go home to without t'Internet (oh dear, that sounds really sad!).
Weekend outfit in the usual place - managed to update that in my lunch hour.
