Good morning, and a BIG helloooooo to Bronnie, i looked out for you on Mary queen of shops too but deduced that there was nobody as stylish that they could be you:D
Yes my capsule has definiatly diversified, i tend to hold onto stuff a bit longer (whereas i was ruthless) or maybe alter it in some way, but what i do do is pull out of my wardrobe a 'capsule' for the week. makes for an easier life on mornings when time is at a premium. DD is at a funny age and we spend an age discussing her sox/hair/shoes/cardigan (she's in school uniform, how hard can it be??) so very little time for me!!
Piratefairy, the challenge was hard at first, and back in february i had a huge spend, 2 days later i took everything back except for 2 things and i bought a dress at christmas with no paypal money so i certainly wasn't perfect, i also confronted a few demons, manily of the ' i'm p11sed off, so i'm going shopping' type!! Love the sound of your shoes!
Todays oufit is a maxi skirt, made by ME (£4 for material) paisley patterned a green vest top primark (£1.50) white cardy (new look, via chazza shop £3) silver sandles from barretts (£4) ages ago lots of silver n gold bangles. My hair has 2 'bump it's' in today.
This morning as i was getting dressed it occured to me that the only people who get excited about my clothes are my dogs:( (except for me) and that's only when the the north face jacket and wellies are on, as this means only one thing-walkies, yet when i have a dressed down day, i get a barrage of oo what's ups are you ill?? I do wander sometimes if maybe i go TOO far in my science of getting dressed/groomed?? What do you all think?? How do people react to you when you have no-makeup on and tracksuite bottoms?? would love to know!!
Edited to say that how very glam to be known as 'the sindy doll' goan, i am jealous, espically as i was known at school as ' the mersey tunnell gob', the scars are still with me.... hehe
Edited again to say that goan, i love the idea of ' how tos' on your blog, i am very ispired by 'different' looks, maybe 60's look, 70's look, and so on, would love to see you do that, if anybody can do it, you can!!
Bye for now
Sharron xSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
Morning all
Sharon - I have to say I think my big struggle would be just 'giving up' the shopping, it does seem to take over, most people (me included) on a weekly basis go clothes shopping perhaps not to buy but to look, when I was little I think my Mam went on a big clothes shop probably twice a year to buy the 'summer' clothes and the 'winter' clothes. What else did people do with their time?
Maybe I should try it and replace shopping time with exercise time and I'll be a skinny minnie in no time:D
Goan - looking forward to the blonde photos.
Todays outfit
Black linens - Primarni:p
New Look cream top with lace detail £1 with voucher
Gladiators £12 George
ps When I'm slobbing in trackies no one seems to say anything I have to say just probably think I've slept in as its usually when I'm taking DS's to school and make up wise I haven't been wearing any since the weather warmed up0 -
I do feel like sometimes I go shopping pjust for something to do. Because I'm not very inspired when it comes to thinking of ways to fill my spare time? Maybe.0

Hello fashionable peeps, I'm tired but bronzed and back from California

Jamacian Palm tree print wrap skirt (thrifted, in Needham Market of all places!)

Hmm, I'm not sure that I've noticed any difference in people's reactions when I'm makeup free, prob cos I don't wear it that much anyway. I think I tend to get more positive comments when I'm not wearing jeans though.
As regards the clothes shopping thing, it still bores me at times. I'll look forward to the odd shopping trip but I don't really get much pleasure out of endless browsing through high street shops. Bookshops are a completely different matter though
Outfit today has somehow ended up being all by New Look. I'm off to see Breakfast at Tiffanys at the cinema tonight so have gone for something a bit more classy like
Black 60's style dress with cream crochet detailing around the hem and neckline
Grey rose print cardi
Cream and black patent quilted pumps
Pearl studs
Rainy - glad you had a fab time and I can't wait to see the photos
Queenie - ooh your job sounds exciting!!0 -
Oh Alex that sounds fab - which cinema is that showing at!?!?!
When I think back to uni weekends, it makes me rather sad - I used to spend weekends in Manchester with my ex (the nice one lol), and we would go into town on a saturday, and basically just trawl roudn the same shops.. Which i think now is such a shame, as it's such a fab city (so much so I'm considering a move)..that i feel bad that we hardly ever went ot any of the museums / galleries etc...0 -
Please can someone tell me where I can find a 32c bra that does up at the front please? I find the ones that you up at the back too fiddly. (I tend to put them on upside down and try to do them up at the front:o)Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
50p saver #40 £20 banked
Virtual sealed pot #178 £80.250 -
Welcome back, Rainy! Can't believe how quickly the time's gone. Look forward to photos.
High street shopping bores the pants off me, everything is just the same everywhere. Shops used to have their own style once but now the colours, patterns and cut are all the same.
You do sound classy today, Alex.
Queenie - I'll be waiting. Your job sounds fascinating.0 -

It's on at FACT (aka my favourite cinema in the whole wide world). It was a freebie thing run through one of the Gilette razor brands, they're showing a range of "girly" films at various places and you just signed up for a free ticket. I'm taking my Dad :rotfl:0
