  • Hi all, just got back from Go Ape and it was really good although not as scary as I thought it might be (although it took quite a while to jump off one particular platform).
On the way back we passed a sign for Amen Corner Karting and I told my daughter there used to be a group called Amen Corner. The radio then played one of their songs on the journey home - how spooky is that?

It's only £9.99 - some of the stuff in the sale is quite cheap! Hmm, I'll ponder it this evening. They've got a really similar one in a gorgeous shade of green but not in my size (not sure I'll even fit into a L really)

I think I kinda just want to buy something for the sake of buying, if that makes sense?

    Afternoon all

phew what a warm day it has been, todays outfit:

    Maxi skirt DP
    top Matalan
    Gladiators earlier now crocs

Bought a denim shirt from a jumble sale the other day and am now contemplating cutting it to waistcoat style though know I'll probably hack it to bits but for 10p its probably worth a try;)
  • Evenina all,

Alex your outfit sounds drop dead gorgeous, I'm hoping for a blog pic and I'd too love a tut on victory rolls, mine always fall out grr re lipstick is ace, I always feel glam with bright red lips, even if I'm scratting around in chill out clothes.

I'm exhausted after work today, still no batteries for camera so no pics but outfit today was black foxglove patent brogues £4.99 oxfam, gap cropped at ankle jeans £4 british red cross, grey/black stripped bib vest, new look sale last year £6, red herring grey batwing cardigan bought brand new from YMCA £2.99, camo style earrings £2.49 matalan sale, floral silk scarf £1.50 charity shop, slowly working my way into my own style at work little by little

shock horror wearing an item of clothing I bought brand new from it's originl shop, I can't remember the last time lol

more football tonight boo, got some ebay wrapping to do, blogs to catch up with and toe nails need painting again cos they seem to hav chipped badly wearing my brogues today... so at least I don't have to watch it.

I bought a levi's jacket at the carboot a couple of weeks ago for a couple of quid and cut the sleeves off to make a waistcoat, worked quite well.

Haha Sharron that's made me chuckle :D Glad you like the blog!

Out of interest, how would you describe your style? I know you were saying that it's changed a lot since you started your capsule challenge but I find it tricky to imagine things just from lists of clothes. Sorry if that's a tricky question - I'd have no idea how to describe my own style!

Just about to update the blog now. Not happy with today's photos - hair had given up any type of shape by the time I got home from work :(
  • schitzophrenic ha!!

No seriously, perhaps ecclectic!! Some days i really play up being girly, dresses, pretty jewllery, other days boho, hippyish, somedays classic. What i never want to be is 'off the peg' i know there is nothing wrong with off the peg but i want, need, to be different. I have changed so much style wise in the last 12 months so who knows what the next 12 months will hold. I know it's really hard to imagine from lists, and i am seriously considering a blog :) although i don't think i am that interesting :( and i'm defo not very technical. And i would never want the in-laws to discover it (we don't speak) and my camera is broke.

Sharon I think your blog would be very inspiring especially with your clothes challenge, are you going to continue when it ends or go out on a massive shoppping spree in the 19the of August:D

Queenie - was brave and took the scissors to the denim shirt, its really pale bleached denim but now have a fab looking waistcoat for 10p - very MSE:D just planning tomorrows outfit around it now.
  • hurrah good for you lola, 10p very well spent :D
