Pf....honestly don't want to put a downer on things (we loved our day at Chester Races earlier in August) .....but really think you should take this possibility into account when planning your outfit

...although hopefully the worst could be over by Saturday.

    Hello,

I'm on a week off work and am still not dressed (shameful!). Might go for a swim in a bit.

Goan - hope Jon's back gets better soon. Watched the episode of the IT Crowd last night where Roy has a bad back, wouldn't recommend a massage based on that!

First style challenge for Project Take10 in the usual place. Dorothy Perkins black waistcoat, quite tricky.

    xx

Yeeks! Thanks for that Bronnie, my friend was planning on going camping this weekend, I'll warn her!

Boring outfit of combats and vest top again today as I'm not doing anything more exciting than clearing up from the bbq and buying a new second-hand overlocker online. Hopefully it's old enough to be really good and solid because modern machines are just so flimsy.
  • Hi everyone,

Get well soon Jon and Sarah - that IT crowd episode is hillarious. Love it.

Me today (in the office, I'm feeling a bit preppy, a bit Alexa Chung, but hopefully slightly less annoying):
    Black jersey shift dress (Gap)
    over the top of a
Chambray long sleeved shirt (Miss Selfridge)
Tan leather belt made of little discs (I think it came from Oxfam in Chelmsford)
tan leather mary janes (New Look)
Beige hooded knitted poncho/ cape thing (ebay but I replaced the plastic buttons on it with some lovely metal ones) (it is freezing today - where the heck is August?!)
    Tan Leather Satchel bag (ebay)

Eczema has cleared up thank goodness so I might brave a camera later.

    Have a good day x

    Afternoon ladies!

The sun is shining here in Devon, but if Mr Weatherman is to be believed we won't be seeing him again for a while!

    Today I am wearing

    Stripey maxi, Primark
White vest underneath(dress is abit too booby for work!) H&M
    Studded gladiator sandals, Next Clearance
    Turquiose cocktail ring, Primark

Going back to the cup cake thing I always think of them as bigger than a fairy cake but not quite a muffin!

    Afternoon all

Just been to the seafront with the DS's and in the arcades - though me being a miser limited them to a few £ each or they would just spend a fortune and end up with nothing.
Bribed them beforehand and popped into a charity shop that sells everything for £1 got a Dorothy Perkins long sleeved top, cream with ruffle around the shoulders and a pair of stright leg jeans in a mid blue colour, they of course managed to get 5 videos for £1 then off they went to spend birthday money -well DS1's birthday money, DS2 is spending his though he doesn't actually have any as his birthday isn't for almost 2 weeks yet.

    Outfit:
Tommy Hilfiger black maxi dress £14ish from US
    Pewter gladiators - George £12
    Denim waiscoat - jumble 10p
    Denim jacket- car boot £2

Off to make DS's dinner before they eat everything they can find in the cupboards

    Afternoon!

Quite sunny and warm here, hooray! Jon's a bit better today, lots of ice (in Bacardi and applied as an icepack) and painkillers have done the trick!

A couple of weeks ago the weather forecast was similarly dire for the Big Chill yet my flamingo cape hardly got used. Fingers crossed they've got it wrong again for the Green Man.

At the moment I'm sporting a vintage 70's dagger collar shirt (from the Sally Army) and a pair of Mary Green of San Francisco hipster knickers and running back and forth taking photographs in the garden.

Can't advise on race wear PF but you've got millions of fab dresses and amazing shoes so just wear what makes you feel fabulous.
