And "I'll take" rather than "Please may I have" when ordering something in a restaurant.....grrrr!

Ooooh, Alex and Goan - I'm with you all the way! I'm in 2 minds about the 'hey' in instead of 'hi' - quite like it, but still feel slightly ridiculous saying/writing it - like I'm pretending I'm in an episode of Friends!

Also 'on the weekend' instead of 'at the weekend' - grrrrrrrrrr.

Had a nice day to myself - sat outside local cafe in the sunshine reading last week's Now (it could have been a year out of date and I wouldn't have known any difference - does Kerry Katona's life ever change??).

Got the River Island dress I was after for £25 instead of £40 cos the only one in my size was on the dummy in the window and it had some dust marks. It's in the washing machine as we speak. Fingers crossed - they should all wash out.

    xx
  • Feeling a tad better now, but bl00min hell it never rains in our family it pours, Mum's dog is sick now:( He appears to have been bitten by something and is very grumpy.

Alex, i was so glad you addressed the 'thrift' issue aswell:T i mean the word thrift to me is just so general. I can stomach it on the american blogs along with ' gifted' as i only ever skim them anyway. But on the british ones i like to know which chazza shop it's from and if it's a 'gift' well i like to know who it's from and what does it mean to them (but then i am a nosey so and so) The 'have a nice day' grates on me, i feel like saying 'well you don't even care if i have a nice day, so save your words and your oxygen'. DS's have taken to saying it's 'sick' meaning something is good, don't know if this is regional slang but i hate that too.

Sympathies for all your hair isssues, i have an appointment for wednesday for a complete re-style. I havn't had it cut since April as i have been growing out a short bob. I am super excited about a new colour and style:j

On the fashion news, i won a dress on ebay for £3.50, liked what i saw and sniped it. Well i googled the make 'Gharni Strock' (sp?) and they retail for about £160:eek: Can't wait for it to arrive!!

Looking forward to a night of telly catch-up's. Don't watch telly at all during the week. So i have got Southland (love it) Identity (super love it) Who do they think you are (dh hates, i love it) Then going to start on my ashes to ashes box set (again!).

Great result on the dress, Sarah!

Sharron - Love Gharani Strok, they did a range for Debenhams a while ago and beautiful it was too, very ethnic and embellished and always in glorious prints. Best wishes to the doggie.

Just enjoying a glass of wine whilst Jon creates in the kitchen.

  • Vix, how much were they @ debenhams? It was the print that attracted me to it tbh, i googled it after i had won it. While i am on the subject of dresses, you know the one i got from your shop, i am going to alter it after i have lost another half a stone (didn't want to do it twice) regarding styling it, i was thinking tights and biker boots??? What kind of jacket, biker jacket or would that be overkill?? Love it but i am venturing into new terrotry (sp!)... I know your the best person to ask :)

    Evening ladies.

Thank you all for the advice. I think I am going to ebay the decent used stiff and the stuff with tags on. Charity shop the rest. Thank you especially to PF for the postage advice.

I have taken advantage of the 20% off everything in DP's. I have ordered grey trousers for work, a blue purple and cream paisley shift dress, a crochet jumper, a normal jumper (for work) and a pink vero moda top / tunic. Also, bought purple tights to wear with the purple fairisle dress I bought from there last week and navy to go with the dress I ordered today.

I have never worn coloured tights before and I am a bit lost as to what shoes I would wear with them? Only ever black tights with a black skirt and black shoes!

    Anyway, outfit today
Blue bootleg jeans - River island
    Brown wedges - DP's
    Navy blue pu$$y bow blouse - DP's

Went to the gym after work so gym kit.
Now chilling out in old black leggings and a long cream jumper both george and both really old!
    Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j
