  • Hello everyone, I've been rubbish with posting on interwebs recently but I hope you are all doing well. I've resolved to refer less to 'thrifting' and putting more detail about where I found my outfits, thanks to a very good point I read on a blog recently ;)

    Me today:
Navy Blue with white embroidery peasant top - Warehouse via Oxfam, Chelmsford
Vintage peach silk slip underneath - St Michael via Age Concern, Lowestoft
Cut off denim shorts - Bay Trading

Adding when I go out for lunch with the Aussie in a bit:
Turquoise Hooded cardigan (where has the summer gone?!) - Mambo
Tan leather gladiator sandals - New Look
plus the usual rings and glass bead bracelet

Have to say that what I am wearing at the moment is a size 8 top over a size 16 top with size 10 bottoms, I'd describe myself as a 12. Goes to show ladies sizing is absolute bobbins

Ooh was it mine? I hope it didn't sound naggy :o

Sizing is ridiculous isn't it? I tried on a size 16 in Primark t'other week and I practically had to rip myself out of it because it was so tight. Then the dress I wore yesterday is technically a 14 but it's HUGE and needs taking in loads before the next time I wear it. Silly shops.

Not naggy at all! It was a really really good point.

Since I started 'thrifting' :D mind I've really learnt to size stuff by sight rather than rely on the labels. It's kind of liberating really

    Evening Ladies.

I have a bit of a dilemma, or rather a decision to make!

I have lost almost 3 stone in the last 8 months and have dropped 2 dress sizes. However I now have a lot of clothes that are too big. Do I keep them, sell them, give them away or what? Some of them still have tags on! I have a couple of designers from Debenhams dresses that I have worn once.

I know I should really ebay all the decent stuff, but I don't know, something is holding me back but I have no idea what!

    .

Well done on the weight loss Ice!!:T
Get rid of it all, sell or give as Alex suggested. It belongs to another life to which there's no going back is a good mentality, I reckon!

My exception to this would be to keep one piece to remind you/as a warning etc! Did you see Alex's old jeans on her blog? I kept a very large and hideous size 22 Evans black jacket that I used to kid myself if I wore over everything it looked slimming . It wraps around me now and I still try it on every now and again to remind me!

Ooh good point Bronnie! Last year's winter coat is comically large on me now. I can't quite bring myself to get rid of it though because it's lovely.

I have a pair of timberland style boots I wear with bootlegs for dress down, or heels of any variety for dressing up. I quite like flip flops with wide legs but todays weather doesn't quite work with flip flops.
