Use them in soup, or as a vegetable. Just cut off the outer stringy side before cooking.0

I use mine as an ingredient in veg soup but in very tight times, they ended up the majority veg and the resultant soup had an unpleasant and gelatinous texture. Never thought of stir-frying them, thanks for that tip.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

This is a recipe for Broccoli and Stilton Soup you could use the same weight of broccoli florets/stalks/cauliflower florets/cauli stalks and leaves. I use a thick version of this to make a pasta sauce - add cooked chicken and sliced mushrooms if you are feeling flush:D0

As others have said, I peel off any stringy layers, then chop them and serve them with the rest of the veg. I actually prefer the stalks to the florets, they've got a great texture and are delicious! :drool:0
