Is that a shop or a website? Where are you in the country? If a site can we have the link please? :T
If it's a shop it may only be local to one area. I know I drool over some of the bargains to be had in small chains which we just don't have down here ( The Balmy South Coast)Living on Earth can be expensive, but it does include an annual free trip around the Sun.0 -

Oh yeah? I nearly burst into tears when I discovered the Aldi Olive trees were only for you Jammy Northern lot. No Olive trees down here ( where they might actually survive)
Nope the great Aldi powers that be decided: 'Olive trees. Hmmmm.... A mediteranean tree which survives happily in dry arrid HOT climates. Let's send them North so they can all die.':rolleyes:Living on Earth can be expensive, but it does include an annual free trip around the Sun.0 -

I agree with Poundland and Poundstretcher, lots of "end of season" (for them!) bargains. Also in Wilkinsons yesterday I found lots of pots and gloves, canes etc. I have been on the look out for bulbs.. daffs and tulips for outside and prepared hyacinths for inside. Anyone found any reasonable priced?
If there's a branch near you, Superbuys have been doing packs of 3 hyacinth bulbs for 99p (dunno if they're prepared). Also packs of lots of other sorts of bulbs - varying from 1 to 20 bulbs per pack, depending on the plant.0 -
What is a good price to pay for fleece??? I guess in Poundland it must be a POUND???!!!.....but how much do you get compared with normal non-pound shops???
My mum gave me £20 to treat myself so I am to buy some mushroom plugs and some fleece so I can plant some winter veg:DLaughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
Kays Horticulture (https://www.kayshorticulture.com) was the cheapest place I found to buy fleece. Unfortunately, they're getting their website redeveloped at the mo, so I'm not sure how much it is per metre. I know B&Q used to sell by the metre (I think usually on a 2m wide roll), so that would at least give you an idea, and then you'd be able to work out whether the Poundland pack was a bargain or not.0
