Garden Bargains and Freebies

for all posts related to garden bargains.
Tools, plants, seeds, gloves, compost, water butts, furniture, water related, lights etc.

However tempting it is to talk gardening this should only be used for posts regarding Garden bargains or freebies including good freebies or bargains in Gardening magazines/newspapers.

I'll kick off:
Wyevales garden centres in the South East have been selling off all their seeds at 25p a packet and are having a massive clearance.

Tescos were flogging all garden products at 70% off and may have some left in some stores. I got all my plant food, fertiliser, slug pellets for next year at ridiculous prices.

Woolworths have been running a similar clearance. some nice garden lights and pots and baskets

Poundstretcher also still have plenty of garden products going at half price including tools

Poundland. I got really swanky willow cone shaped hanging baskets and a pollytunnel, some netting and some fleece

Nows the best time to pick up some great deals as it's the end of Summer season.
Living on Earth can be expensive, but it does include an annual free trip around the Sun.

  • Anyone have any suggestions for the cheapest walk in plastic greenhouse? I 've got one of those tidgy 3 tier ones but want a bigger one. I don't fancy paying 40 quid for one though!

  • Oooh, great, gardening!
I agree with Poundland and Poundstretcher, lots of "end of season" (for them!) bargains. Also in Wilkinsons yesterday I found lots of pots and gloves, canes etc. I have been on the look out for bulbs.. daffs and tulips for outside and prepared hyacinths for inside. Anyone found any reasonable priced?

Our local FOcus have 75% off a lot of their garden furniture and ornaments and general garden bits at the moment.

I bought a 'Fairy' solar light, original price was about £20 (ish) pounds, was reduced to £4.99, my mum has a discount card that gave me an extra 15% off!
    Ended up paying £4.28.

Seems there are some really good bargains all round right now. I'm hunting for solar fountains. I'll post if I find any but has anyone else found a solar bargain?

Morrisons had the solar bubble lights on BOGOF but I missed it. Only one left.

I am after some good solar lights for my roof terrace. Got no soil, so will need the spike ones that I can just ram in my pots.

Any bargains out there please let me know. ;)

I got a real deal from Robert Dyas recently. 4 good quality stainless steel ones reduced from 24.99 to 14.99. They also had sets of 10 of the black plastic ones at a ridiculous low price.
Some are turning up on ebay pretty cheap now as the summer season is making lots of dealers dump their garden stock.
Poundstretcher is worth a look too as I think they were selling them off half price.
