Morning- cooler and very wet today, its been raining hard since yesterday afternoon.

I have to wait in for a parcel, its meant to be here before 1-hope it is as I could do with getting some eggs, forgot them at weekend.DS2 eats a fair few,he tends to stick to a fairly low carbdiet so eggs are useful when he wants something quick.I follow it when I want to lose a few pounds,it works best for me,but its hard at first if you crave something sweet,so I know where you're coming from RRuby. Its a hard diet to cheat on though as it doesnt work if you have any sweet stuff :(.DS2 has lost 5st over the last year and looks great.

When we were at the pub for the World cup,DSons were also there with mates,& lots of people were coming up to us saying how well he's looking these days, and there seemed to be a number of young ladies vying for his attention-he was lapping it up:rotfl:

I have quite a bit of barbecue type meat in the fridge, which due to rain won't happen now,so I need to see what we can have tonight and freeze the rest.I'll just cook it in the Remoska instead.

The house is tidy,so I'll get chance to do some more on my red/black /white quilt,I cut all the pieces yesterday and started with the sewing last night.:T for rotary cutters-I once made a quilt with hexagons entirely by hand,it took me about 3 years to get it finished!

PP-glad DD enjoyed herself.Sorry you have to go into hospital again.
    Welcome Doelani and Marchio.
    Enjoy your time off N9eav.
    Take care all.x

    Morning all

Made a mid-summer resolution to read & post here more often - miss you nice, chatty people! Also re-starting GC for July, getting a bit lazy with everything! :rotfl:
Rainy here & a bit cooler, baby having a nap, DS3 watching Charlie & Lola on-demand so 5 mins peace for mummy! :D
Doing food stocktake today, lots of oddments everywhere that need organising into proper meals. Did loads of washing over the weekend & yesterday, now needs ironing & putting away - urgh! :( Also got to change DS2's bed, clean hallway & kitchen floors, clean windows.....
DS2 (18) off on hols with GF on Sunday, then away again for another week in August, so food & petrol bills will go down - he eats like a horse & begs for lifts to GF's!!! :)
Hope you all have a good morning, hugs & kisses to those who need them, see you later on.
    A xo

    Morning all,

ON the first page....am I proud of myself!

    Welcome to Doelani and Marchio.

    Lovely pictures PP.

Sunny again here to-day...heavy but very short showers yesterday so hopefully will not have to water garden, just greenhouse.Going shopping soon to use up the last of my June budget by getting dog and cat food and other long lasting stuff as will have visitors for 2 weeks in July and another 2 weeks in August so wonderful to get the chance to stockpile a little. Have been madly over for last while so tightened belt big time....used stuff out of the freezer, will do the same for July when there is only OH and me here.

Going to an exercise thing in swimming pool with DD3 to-night...having been using excuses for ages but finally going to bite the bullet.

Off to have breakfast and write my list....see you all later no doubt.

Congrats on getting debt-free, HoneyBee83 - bet it's a wonderful feeling! DD1 paid us back some money she borrowed a while ago, last little bit to come next month & she says it's nice to know she won't owe us anything! Just got to get DS1 in the same frame of mind now.... :)

Do you have any close friends or family who could come & house-sit for you while you are away? Maybe you won't worry too much if there is someone in the house?

    Thanks Cheapskate.
It really does feel good! I was thrown into debt by a waste-of-space (now ex) boyfriend but nows hes been caught out-dodging ever having to pay back loans etc etc basically went 'underground' and worked for cash in hand (i didnt know this at the time)-so im having the last laugh now!!
And i've also realised how much cash i was wasting before! Food shopping was the biggest and buying clothes just because i wanted them. Wont be going back there!! But i'll no longer be so scared to open the bills!!
