Oh, so THIS is where you've all sloped off to !! I lost the old thread and have taken until how to actually remember to do a search on my own name in order to track it down - could not for the life of me, remember what Mike's posting name was!

Well I'm completely out of the loop now. The last I was aware was getting an email from the tv programme asking me to bob on down to the house for the reveal. Unfortunately prior commitments prevented that.

So has the programme been shown yet? I set up sky+ for the last series of The Big Build, but for some unknown reason the link got deleted, so I don't know. If it's been shown, is it available online anywhere? If it's not been shown, is there any word on when it will be?

Mike - hope you're settled and happy in your new old home, and that it was everything you'd hoped for.

BBC seem to be showing it as a filler rather than a proper series so don't know if that is why your series link deleted itself :mad:

A few of us made it to the reveal and we had a great time, happy to say more after it is on TV

Hi al, i saw southernbelle was worried, im ok ive just been alittle raw and grieving, my5 year old cat died sadly and well im devestated so havent felt like posting or been a happy happy but im ok, sb i will email soon wehn my mood is abit more happy... this sad thing is making me a blubbing mess .. hope everyone is well xx

Hi SB, Cherisong and Maty and thank you so very much for remembering the day. But first HAPPY I is so very sorry, we get so attached to our pets that we do find their lose devastating. Thinking of you. Yesterday was fantastic, sorry if that sounds an outlandish thing to say about a funeral, but I had really wanted the day to go as planned and it did to the T. She had wanted a Wedgewood blue coffin and that is what she got, with silver handles and a silver plate. The flowers on the top were just from me OH and my fine sons and two other close friends. So I made 7 blue card hearts for us to each write our own message. I was so touched by what my sons wrote. Then my darling OH and sons carried her into the crematorium. I WAS SO PROUD. I had chosen Gretchen Peters "When You Are Old" for her to go in and at the end "I Knew You By Heart" Eva Cassidy. The words were so appropriate. My Personal Tribute seemed to be so fitting and lots of people told me afterwards that I had it just right. Then it was over - all the planning and that's it. But we went on to celebrate over a glass and plate of food - and everyone seemed to think she would have loved her day. Then in the evening we went out for a meal as a family and raised a glass in her memory. There is still loads to do with regard to sorting out her estate, but i know feel that I have turned a corner and am looking forward to writing the thank you letters and ensuring the next part of the process is done properly. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR THE THOUGHTS, HUGS AND BLESSINGS. You are a great crowd. Billie xx

That sounds like a really lovely day, well done you for organising it and putting so much thought in to it. I can see in your words how proud you were of your men, deservedly so. You are obviously a good influence on them all!

I hope the estate isn't too complicated but don't be worried about asking for advice or help if you need it.

Thank you for filling us in Billie. How lovely that your friend should have such a perfect send off and that you were able to find just the right words for her tribute.
I know the estate must mean a lot of work but take it one bit at a time (as far as possible) and allow yourself to grieve or to be reminded of good times as you do it.
