Just been told off for leaving the downstairs light on, and had it explained to me how I can go downstairs turning the landing light on first, I don't need to leave the downstairs light on.

I'm sure I'll sleep better tonight with that gem.

Erm, if you pay the bills then who cares? Although I do tell Mr S off for leaving lights on... he always leaves every single light on  Shame he isn't OCD about cleaning too... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I still hear my dad saying 17.5% VAT on electricity any time I leave a light on. Way back when VAT was 17.5%

You all seem to have this attitude. You should try hanging on to your beautiful chopping board wot cost you £16 as someone threatens to bin it!!!!!!!!

I'm sure I'm going to lose it at some point, better not be holding the chopping board when I do.

Is he OCD too? Cos I'm fairly sure if a basalt chopping board is unhygienic he's not going to pass the bleach test!!!

Bleach is banned at my work because it's too dangerous - what do you think she would make of that?

By the way just to keep this on topic: it is not recommended for cowboy builders. :D

Best Delia tip. Make it in the evening, turn the oven off at the end of cooking and leave them in there overnight.
