  • I'm So sorry I worried anyone....I'm such a bleedin freak!

I never made it online last night after all but popping in tonight I got chased by a rabid pack of black dogs, hissed at by cats with far too much attitude, slipped on what looks like a prawn and then spat at by a camel that really had the hump!

I could say it's like a zoo in here but .... well I think between us, we've created our own little funny farm ain't we? I think if any of you could see me, you'd concur that it's where I should probably be, I've had a bath, clean jimmy's on as well as 1 sparkly oyster coloured shoe on one foot and a black sparkly shoe on t'other...planning on spending my evening playing with my collection of cabinet handles with an occassional admiring glance down at my gorrrrgeous shoes that I'll never have a hope in hell of ever walking in because they're so high I can't even stand in them....I had to have them, the same way I had to have over 100 cabinet handles when I browsed at B&Q......the devil made me do it!

yeah so anyway...the prozac was a bad idea! I went from being quirky to being a complete nutter within 4 months. It's either the prozac or the jailer anyway, one of the beggars drove me mad.

Off to have a proper read so I can catch up with what everyone's up to but please don't worry or be surprised if I make little sense...unlikely as I rarely do anyway!

I'm not drunk but I really love you guys!xxxxx

  • Welcome back SB... we don't ask much, just that you let us know you are alive and sort of well every now and then :)

The shoes sound utterly gorgeous! As I said, don't blame you for wearing them in your pj's... I'd do the same too! Anyway, must dash... got to stay good for the in-laws :)

You know how grateful I am!

I pressure-washed the decking today to apply 'your' oil tomorrow. Doubt I'll sleep tonight!

Very disappointed to get a message from someone today saying she been conned by the same builder. Not sure when it happened but it sounds as though he is still at it. I wonder when the police will become interested?

Late with this but.....surely if he is still doing this, Trading Standards would be interested....they DO at least have the power to prosecute don't they? I'm not surprised that he's still 'at it', just amazed at how he can keep getting away with it...what a turd!

  • The horrid thing about anti-depressants is that as well as filling in the bottom of the lows they also steal the pleasure in life....

Infact, now I am on the otherside, I think "it" taught me to deal with things before they get too difficult. I am very much a burier of issues, and put up with so much from so many. I took on people's "monkeys" (google it, but basically I took things (burdens, work) from others and never put them down, I carried them all), but now I listen and offer suggestions but I don't personalise things.

It really does get better. I promise. It just takes time and willpower (which is the hardest thing to find when you're in the middle of a horrid phase... ) The best thing I ever did was FORCE myself to go back to work... against the advice of the Doc and the Occ Health nurse, and the second best thing was to stop taking the pills, which were e/affecting every single thing i did - sleep, s!xlife, concentration, all sorts.

    Ramble over

But... you can beat it... send the pesky fleabag away :D

Outdated reply again but what you said about carrying the monkey reminded me of a film I watched recently, Oranges & Sunshine, a true story about all the children that were sent away to Austrailia between the 50's & 70's and the Social Worker that found out about it. After discovering what had been happening and the abuse that many of them suffered, she began losing her hair and became depressed, the Doctor diagnosed her with post traumatic stress disorder...even though the horrors never happened to her personally, she suffered the effects.

I wonder if there is a line between sympathy and empathy or if it's one of the same.

    (I'm nuts....just thinking aloud! :p)

Prozac's interesting stuff. It made me convinced I was right all the time about everything!

You don't have to be drunk to love us but it helps.

    Hello all!

Thanks to the meds being upped I feel like I'm doing great at the moment. The black dog is only staring at me from a distance not trying to nip my ankles. Had a few panic attacks though, and they aren't fun!

I'm feeling pretty fab today, I've (theoretically) ditched a great chunk of my wardrobe and am going for a whole new look and a better way of presenting myself to the world - feels really good so far - even if the credit card disagrees... :rotfl:

:T:T Glad to hear the meds are helping you cat.

I saw a fab deal in groupon for ipl in Southampton, 5 treatments for £99.. up to £800 worth of treatment, keep looking hun and go steady with that credit card.

oooh, I'm sure there's a Dolly Parton song....there is, 'I can see the light of a clear blue morning'!

If you're not a fan of country music, have a word with miggy, she managed to leap from Dolly Parton to Led Zepplin within minutes, I'm still scratching my head over how the hell that happened! ;)

Good luck to you though cat! xx
