Getting money back from cowboy builders

Hi All

I'm still here and checking in daily but have been a bit busy......

We were told last wednesday that my team is going to be made redundant from next April :eek: After 25 years it was a bit of a shock and I have some number crunching and advice to take before I know for sure as there are two jobs available for five of us to apply for

But do I even want to apply for one of them & would I get it? Do I really want to do the M25 commute anymore? Especially when they are being generous with the pay off

Who knows, certainly not me right now!!!!

Evening all, I see the night shift are on again! lol

Hope all are well, sorry I haven't been around much - haven't really done much of anything lately but always seem to be busy doing something! That makes sense in my head!

Excellent research Cherisong and Sb and Butti I think were all getting kind of wound up because we know we need to do something but it's finding the right thing to do. I think once we pick the direction we'll all be there to do a mass campaign on it.

Mike, hope you're enjoying that lovely new home of yours. (Tries not to imagine bottomless sunbathing on the thingy in the whatsit).

Oh dear! I just typed "Must get off now...." but decided it may be misconstrued after my last comment!! lol

I'm still here, and still sorting out boxes! Somehow I don't feel it's right to stop trying to make it look nice again after I imported all my old crap and ruined the effect...

Still putting down my shopping where the fridge used to be in the living room, and can't get used to the idea of having another bathroom. There seems to be so much living space and once I clear some more boxes, I might be able to see it.

Love to everyone here who's doing exciting things, changing jobs, sweltering in the heat etc.


(And you thought I'd disappeared!)

Congrats on the new job Psycho! We shall expect updates.
Don't worry about distracting me, you know how it is with Youtube: I ended up having a laugh after wandering into a video of David Hasselhoff.

Mike, I'm sure you'll get through all the boxes eventually! (Maybe they should do a follow-up programme showing people trying to secrete everything without spoiling the effect? If it was mine, I'm sure I'd never manage it).
I don't suppose there's any news on when the programme goes out, is there?

I'm very nervous but I'm sure I'll be fine as it's really simple stuff and I needed to get it so I can crack the debt busting whip once more.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend... I'm off to work today then going home after to go and sit in a field for 5 days and watch some live music, comedy and cabaret things. Very excited, just stressed about the packing.... hate it!! x

Why stress over packing? All you need is clean knicks, something for the top half, something for the bottom half for each day then something warm just in case, washing stuff, hair stuff, towel, sun cream, wet weather gear and you are there Could add in some snacky bits and a drink or too as well.
