Wow I watched last night and was bowled over !
Aren't people nice. I think the fact that every body was strangers to Mike ( only knew through t'internet ) but gave their time to help was lovely. I wish Mike, the boys and of course Mikes Mob a wonderful new year and hope that these kind people are rewarded somehow !
    Power to the people !
    Love the house.:D
  • Mike - I am visting relatives at the moment and I arrived last night at 19.56 not knowing when DIY SOS was on (apart from the day ;)). All I can say is I do like it when a plan comes together!!!

My sister was busy on the computer and did not want to watch (she has her own cowboy builder extension that has scarred her for life). Brother in law was tinkering with his motorbike in the garage. Only had their TV technology to crack and find the channel!

And you know what, the only bit that made me blub was your thank you letter to the BEEB that I have read this morning :D. Though I do suspect that BIL thought I had been snorting wine when he came back in to find me grinning like an idiot!!!

Also, I had a fabby Christmas Day after packing OH off to visit his Mum and have dinner with his grown up daughter, son and ex-wife. He still doesn't know I was treated to a walk in the snow, a wonderful vegan Christmas dinner (a shock for an omnivore like me ;)), a game of charades and Dr Who. I am holding out for a holiday in Florida at the end of Jan. Luckily he is not techno savvy and will never find this post

Maty - Use the following link and then select download options. It takes a few mins but then you can watch again and again. And burn as many DVDs for adoring fans as you like :rotfl:

And BLOODY WELL DONE to Mike's Mob, it's just the spirit that MSE is all about :T:T:T (I raised a glass myself last night along with a chocolate taste fest!)

First, I'd like to thank SouthernBelle for the PM about the show, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
I've been following the thread for ages now, popping in now and again to see what is going on :)

I was a brilliant show! I sky+ it and watched it a second time with my missus, even better the second time round. What an amazing transformation Mike, it must be like living in a dream.
I can't believe all those people got into the house at the one time, it was like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside :o

Mike's Mob - you looked great, but that bed looked a bit shaky tho' :rotfl:

Congratulations again to all involved
It was a brilliant end, to what was a brilliant story.
    Looking forward to the film:p

    Morning, troops.

I think I am right in saying that the file you can download from iPlayer is rights protected and will stop playing after 7 days. I'm working on a version that doesn't self-destruct and can post a link in a day or two to download it if that helps.

Maty/Psycho let me know if you have trouble - my DS's are wiz at this sort of thing and could possibly do for you!! Must get on sorting house so will catch up again later. By the way sent an email to Christine who no longer works for DIY SOS but gave me contacts : "I am no longer working on DIY SOS. For any DIY SOS related queries or applications, please contact Hannah Walker on hannah.walker@bbc.co.uk or Ian Osprey at ian.osprey01@bbc.co.uk who will be able to deal with them." Although the Ian email has just bounced back as unknown address! But Hannah one has been received. Loves yah all of to carry on with secret....... Billie xx

I'm one who was not able to watch last night, and who also doesn't have a copy - can't even watch on iplayer because I don't have internet for a few weeks following my house move #

So, any way of being able to watch in the future would be gratefully received.

As one who has also benefitted from the "pulling together of forumites" in the past, I too can vouch for the "spirit" of these boards. Long may it last, and well done again guys xx

    Happy new year :T
