  • Just wanted to say thanks to Kaz for posting Mikes letter to the BBC - more tissues were needed. What a wonderful start to 2011.
  • wow... absolutely bloody brilliant. I just watched the programme as recorded it yesterday. I am so proud of all of you for doing this for a complete stranger, it has literally restored my faith in human nature. You are all stars.

Mike you are absolutely wonderful and watching you and your boys together it was obvious how close you all are. I literally sobbed at the end when you saw your new home and garden... and rightly so it was beautiful.

I hope you all had a fantastic christmas and I wish you all a wonderful New Year and hope 2011 brings you all everything you rightly deserve and more.

    With love and huggles

    Trust a troll to appear.

I admit that I was posting on a different forum last night (a business one) and I talked about the power of an internet forum and gave a brief snippet of Mike's story. I wanted to demonstrate that a forum can be a good place populated with fab people who will help someone in distress and that a forum isnt all about trolls and thieving charlatans.

Wishing you all a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year xx

    Maty,
The ex is burning me off a copy, I'll get him to do you one too.
Everyone keeps texting me and saying 'How come you didn't have a Mike's Mob tee-shirt then?'
White is such a terrible colour for my complexion!

Butti, would you be an angel and get your ex to burn a copy for me too. I am such a technophobe (sp?) I wont be able to do it.

Yes you stand out for not wearing a T Shirt but your green top is just as nice. How come the ex is still with you today? ;):D

I'll see what I (well he!) can do.

He'd invited me up for Hogmaney and we both thought we'd give this friendship lark a try. I'm here for 6 days - he's very easy company.

    Hello Mike

I hadn't followed your story on here, but I have read your posts on the matrix site. Having watched your programme and read the start of your original board I had to post to say firstly how sorry I was to hear about the nightmare you have lived through but how wonderful for you to have had such a magnificent makeover. You came across as such a lovely man and your sons are such nice boys and are so supportive of you. You all looked so delighted with your new beautiful home - the start of a better, more positive future.

I hope you have a wonderful 2011 you certainly deserve it.

    Take care

  • Hello all, decided to stop lurking!

Brilliant programme, tissues needed here too! :T:T

Found a quote today that reminded me of what you have achieved for Mike:

[FONT="]"If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you."

You have all done a brilliant job taking Mike from where he started to where he is now. Keep up the good work.

And here's the wise wee bear himself. Piglet and Winnie were helping Mike sort out his window boxes. Not sure Mike actually went for those particular colours in the end though?

(Love the quote Tigger! I guess Winnie must have shouted it to you one time as you were bouncing of into the sunset :p.)
