  • Have just watched the programme and nearly fell of my chair yelling "that's moneysavingexpert, that is" :rotfl:What a lovely programme really made me feel emotional, I always knew what a great bunch of people MSE'rs were but this really exceeded it.

Mike I wish you and your boys all the best for the future

Sorry if this has been asked (but the previous threads are manhoosive!) but was there any progress with the old builder? Did Mike get any of his money back?

And more importantly has he been named and shamed several times over the years so that no one else ever hires him?

I was also wondering about this.

Firstly, my thanks to Nicola (niccatw) for letting me appear on her show...

Hey, that all turned out rather well, didn't it? I enjoyed it, anyway!

Have read all posts so far and we're feeling very happy, very grateful, and very lucky.

Will come back when the phone stops ringing...!

    What a fantastic programme :j:T:j

The phones, texts and PM's were going the whole way through here so I am going to have to watch again in a mo!

Welcome back lil Sis :D Nothing wrong with some tears.

Happy, soooo pleased you got to see it almost live.

Poo, we have missed your sense of humour soooooo much - don't stay away so long please :D

Nicca, you were a star and said what needed to be said very well ;)

Butti - Think our bed was built to last :)

But the gold star of the day has to go to SB - You have been just amazing. So many people have said thank you for letting them know that the show was on tonight. Cut and paste rocks :rotfl:

Do you think SB has sent a PM to Steven Spielberg and is right now discussing the filming of this whole epic for the big screen?

SB you are fantastic and don't think you haven't been missed tonight because you have! Where are you SB?

Psycho, hey little sis so glad you could make it!

I've had my first text saying I was spotted on the telly - yay fame at last!!! Well ok maybe not, my brother has known me all my life so I suppose it doesn't count!

Don't know about anyone else but I can't stop grinning! I am so happy for Mike and the boys.

    Love you all

    Poo

 I couldn't put it any better folks. It was a breathtaking hour. My little nieces in Holland think I am now rich because I have been on the telly. My next door neighbours rang for an autograph. My mobile has been humming. What fun.

NICCY - wow you did a great job, yes P you were shedding a tear. SB was sobbing on my shoulder - Oh I would do it all over again.

Catflap - oops Catflea sorry. I missed you stuffing your face - will go back and check.

Knocked a glass of mulled wine over my lounge carpet and was mopping up with one eye on the TV. Bet it leaves a stain.

    Oh I loved it all................:T

PS SB will be sitting in a corner sobbing her eyes out - soft as a baby's botty!!

Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman
but I can usually shut her up with chocolate!

When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.
  • Thanks to SB for the PM letting us all know about the show. We were due to be out tonight so we recorded it and have just watched it - what an amazing thing.

Mike - the house is beautiful and I can't think of a better person to have something like that happen to. Your boys are just fabulous and you all seem so lovely.

Well done to everyone who helped out!
