Hi all, it's nice to be back. I shyed away from the thread cos i knew i was going back to my old habbit's, but 1st of july hit and something in my head clicked. So so glad to be back :)

Well 1st weigh in for me and a loss of 1lb, which isn't fantastic, but a loss is a loss. Just need to kick the biscuit tin in to touch and I'll be fine.

Going to sit down one night and try and remember all the *good* food I used to eat, just to refresh my memory, and hopefully get back on the wagon 100%.

    ((((hugs)))) to you DRAGON.

Well done to all you losers big and small.

    xx

All the best to Dragon from me too-hope to see you back soon!

Hethmar, you're right about the clothes thing, but it's just odd that others can really see it but I can't that much myself. I last lost loads of weight for my wedding a few years ago and bought an amazing honeymoon wardrobe, with some expensive dresses and lovely tops etc. I wore them on honeymoon, then put weight back on and literally haven't worn them since. I'm hoping to be able to wear them on hol again in the summer though-it's so exciting to have a whole 'new' wardrobe of nice clothes waiting for me to wear again! Lots of them I can wear already but some need me to lose a few more pounds to make them totally comfortable...I'm getting there though and I know that will make a big difference to how I feel! :)

    Hey fellow losers!!!:p:D

Well done to everyone who's lost, and keep going and don't give up to anyone who's struggling!:T

Also, love to Dragon. Hope all is ok.

I had planned to do more exercise and drink more water this month. Doing ok with the water, but crap with the exercise.:( Had minor surgery last week that's knocked me for six a wee bit, so been taking it easy. Hope to get back on track at the weekend though.:)

Anyway, the extra water must have helped, as I weighed myself yesterday and have lost 3lbs!:j

    Hi Jacqu79,

I've noticed your posts before and seen we're on a very similar weigh-loss so far and we started at a very similar time! I'm doing low fat though, whereas I see your low carbing. Just wanted to say hi and well done really. How much more do you want to lose (if you don't mind me asking?) I initially said 3 stone but now I'm there (almost-i'm actually on 41lbs loss so far but only update my sig once a week for some reason!) I want to lose another stone, then see how I feel then. It's a great feeling isn't it?! :)

CG - Any time I've lost weight in the past I've always noticed that too, I think it's maybe just because you see yourself all the time, so it's not really that obvious to you. Where if someone only sees you from one week to the next, then it'll probably stand out more to them?

Yesterday was good food day number 2 for me (extra proud of myself, as we went through to OH's parents at the last minute, and i managed to resist the mountain of biscuits, despite the fact I was actually a bit hungry!).

I'm doing well so far today too, and am going running tonight. I'm going to try my best to have a better night than Tuesday - that was just too awful to want to repeat!

Do any of you do any running? I'm doing a part-time temping job over the summer, and because of the hours it's making eating a wee bit difficult. I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on healthy things I can snack on the days that I'm running (I get a break at 4pm, and go running at 7pm). I've just had a banana and a cereal bar, but I'm worried that cereal bars are pretty much as healthy as a bar of chocolate! (I had a weetabix strawberry oatybar).

Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated! :D

    Have a good day all!!

I don't run but the days I'm going skating/exercising pretty much as soon as I get home I split my tea in 2 - I have a small half bowl of cous cous plus a little veg and some nuts or porridge with nuts/raisins or quinoa + a little veg or mixed beans etc just before I leave work (it takes me ~an hour to get home and to the ice rink so enough time to be ok to exercise and not feel I have loads of food in my stomach). It is just enough to keep me going but more of a snack sized meal rather than a full evening meal. I then have something else (light) after I get back ~9pm.

Weighed in today, 15 stone :o feeling very disgusted with myself but trying not to let it get me down as I know my depression has contributed to it...

I did about a 40-50 minute walk to my mums with one of my dogs (had to go up and down a mountain) and whilst I was there I dismantled a wardrobe and humped it down the stairs and outside.

Also walked one of my other dogs (my mastiff is in season so can't be walked). I've not had much sleep so I'm very tired but if I have got some energy left I'm going to get on the exercise bike later :)
