Hi, My first day yesterday back on the 'diet' and I was very good. I must admit I surprised myself a bit! Managed to say no to many temptations and although was hungry a couple of times I managed to stay strong. Long may it continue, good luck to you all too. It's nice to be back among friends xx:money::money::money::money:
I love to save money0 -
oh please can I join too...I previously went from 12st 10 to 10st 10 (10st 2 at lightest but this was too thin) clothes starting to feel tight again and have an attractive muffin top overspill...weighed in today at 11st 10 and aiming for the full 7lbs with healthy eating and getting off my b*m to do some exercise0

I joined the June thread but sadly shied away from posting much as I still hadn't really stopped the bad habits and started taking my healthy eating seriously!
As of July 1st I have seen the light (after a docs appt where I found out ive put on 9lb in 12 weeks!!)
I have lost 4lb already in July so hopefully should be able to carry on to good things
Sign me up please :AProud meowmy of four fuzzy cats0 -
Can I join too?? i did quite well on these challenges last year, but started back at uni last August and used that as my [STRIKE]reason[/STRIKE] excuse not to stick to it!
i'm not sure what i weigh exactly, it's around the 11 stone mark, and if possible I'd like to get back down closer to 10 stone! But hey - 7lbs would do me for a start!
I've started training to do a 10k in September (having never done any running before), so I'm hoping that, along with eating a little better will mean I'll manage to shift the beef!
I also got a new buike last month for my birthday, so i suppose it's about time I put it to good use!

Well if its any incentive guys - Im going to a poshish lunch next week. On Sunday I went to the House of Fraser sale and I found things that fitted me and looked nice. Now, I know those of you who have struggled will know what I mean. I could stand in front of the mirror outside the cubicle, with the sales girls and other customers looking at me and I could look at myself. And everyone was saying, oh you look fantastic in that and guess what guys, I think I did
Its what 4 or 5 years since I could do/say that.
I even bought a pair of "skinny leg" grey jeans - reduced from £60 to £24 in grey. I said to the sales girl dont you have any "fat leg" grey jeans in the sale and she laughed and said, just try them on. Well, it was a struggle to be honest but once they were on and done up, well, for an old girl, if I say it myself I looked pretty good.Size 14 and although the legs were tight on my fat little legs, the waist was loose. I can wear a belt though. I even had the nerve to try a Karen Millan dress in size 14 and it wasnt that bad at all. OK, couldnt get the zip up over the boob area, but was amazed I could even get it over my head to be honest. And the sales girl on that area didnt even question that I thought I could fit in one of their posh frocks
woo hoo
AND I bought a dress for the lunch(not KM!), my first dress in 5 years, size 14 and it comes with a little matching jacket which has short sleeves and covers the bingo wings AND even my husband loved it and wolf whistled when I showed it off
NOW, aint that feeling of triumph better than the taste of chips and danish pastries Ive denied myself for the last year. NOT ARF.
Onwards and upwards. Weighed in at 11ston 5 lbs now, so only 7 lbs short of my target weight for my height.(which will be a total loss of 4 stone 2 lbs)
Good luck to everyone0 -

5 years ago I started putting on weight after I got sciatica AND I then packed up ciggies too. Before that Id go to a gym 5 times a week and dance at least once a week - jive classes. So, all exercise stopped. Then we got a neighbour from hell and I found I tended to stay in the house more, even packed up my voluntary work and then my darling dad died. So bored, depressed, lonely and we all know what we do then dont we ..........
So from going from less than 10 stone (and to be honest MUCH too thin) my weight crept up til I was 15 stone last March and very miserable about it. I started seriously dieting then - apart from anything hearing the neighbour from hell call me a"fat cow" was quite an incentive too
I have much more energy now. I spend less time sitting on my puterand I try to walk anywhere up to a mile away. Its also been worth it just to see Mr and Mrs NFH's faces when I walked into court 5 weeks ago (where we got judgment against them). They hadnt seen me for a long time, as I tended to keep hidden away from them. PMSL, Mrs NFH nearly had a fit, I could see on her face that she was choked.
SO, I do know how hard it is for everyone but I would urge you to stay on track because the feeling you get when you can look in a mirror without dreading what you see there, is so worthwhile.0 -
