Advice from Martin very helpful regarding continuous payments. I am trying to cancel a Norton anti virus download which was on an old laptop, now broken and not in use. Payment keeps popping up annually on my credit card. Martin advises writing to company first to cancel contract. Problem is, can't find any details to contact Norton. Keep finding american phone numbers on Google no UK contact. Also don't know the original details. Going to contact credit card and get them to stop payments. Any advice from forum members gratefully received . Thanks x0

You might want to learn how to use Google as I managed to find a UK phone number for Norton on the first attempt.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I don't think that this is the best place to ask this.
They seem to offer various ways of paying, but if it's a card payment I'd expect this to be a CPA.0 -
you can cancel the continuous payments but it's generally more difficult than a DD.
The card provider will expect you to exhaust all efforts in contacting the company first before they step in, but if you have done that they usually comply.0
