Regular Payments off a Credit Card Discussion

I would just like to add that a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) authorizes a business to withdraw sums from a customer's account without having to seek repeat authorization for each payment. They are often used to collect payments for the purchase of goods and services such as vehicle breakdown services, insurance policies, broadband and mobile phone services and magazine subscriptions.0

Not guaranteed to work, since some credit card companies look upon the continuous authority as evidence of a genuine transaction and simply move them onto the new card.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Credit card is something which is dangerous, it just confuses our mind to buy something that we can't pay for. ugly truth!0

CPA is not inherently a bad idea, it is illegitimate companies that ruin it as a payment option. We use CPA in our company and it works a treat, I haven't had any complaints in 9 months of doing it, it has its benefits vs DD/SO.0

I'm having a problem with my Halifx credit card and not sure if it's worth contacting them-waste of time.
Got in a fair bit of debt and now paying lots off my cards, Been paying 300/400 off each month for the last 4 months, but my minimum payments keep rising e.g last month it was £160 so paid off £420 now this month the minimum payment has gone up to £180
Is there something going wrong?0 -
Thanks for the info. Well appreciated0

report the card stolen and you all charges are stopped on it
No, they really aren't - I've no idea why people keep repeating this.
CPA's set up before the theft, for instance, typically won't be canceled/refused, since they were legitimate charges.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Hi,
If the purchases on the card are fairly recent (Last 3 months) then the monthly payment is likely to increase as purchases become liable for interest. I believe most CC's give you around 50 days-3months interest free time on all purchases (before they are account for in the monthly payments).
Could some of the debt have just become 3 months or so old?0
