Barclays? You didn't mention Barclays before.
Think we need to progress this in full sentences to make sure nothing gets overlooked.
What is it that you want to achieve?
What cards do you have, their APR, current balances and credit limits?
What offers do you have, the APR, fees and limits?"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

Not silly, just clear them, then phone and ask for them to be closed. Check your credit card statement a couple of months later (will cost £2) to confirm this is done and then cut up - don't go scissor happy until then. And all of that only if you want to get rid of them. Nobody I know has had a workable repeat on a Nationwide card so once that's cleared, unless you need it for spending abroad I'd cancel it.
Okay, you've got an offer from Barclays that's usable for your circumstances. There will be a 2.5% fee for doing this, but worthwile if you want cheap credit.
If I were you I would:
1. Repay in full the £400 (+interest) to Nationwide.
2. Repay in full the £900 (+interest) to Barclays.
Hopefully the Barclays offer will be there in November as Moggles says in another reply. Worth phoning them to ask how long that offer will be there because you're trying to make up your mind whether to take them up on it or not
3. November 2009 - BT £2500 from Virgin to Barclays.
4. If you need to do all of your BT's at once with Barclays then consider clearing the MBNA card even though it'll be maybe 3 months early (MBNA historically have been good with repeat offers to customers - not a lot of evidence of this recently, but hopefully better offers around later in 2010)
5. April 2010 - repay HSBC in full
6. June 2010 - hopefully get a decent offer on MBNA card to BT the Barclays balance!!!"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

Paying your mobile phone contract using Tesco credit card (0% interest on purchases), the the network just debit what ever amount your bill is, like direct debit. Is the possible and any charges levied by mobile network/credit company?
Thank you0 -
I am right of Variable Direct Debits as well - just one for Egg (T&C's requirement)
The banks & companies are just too careless with dates; so despite always demanding a 16th/20th window for all DD (payday 15th) so many of them come in on the 12th/14th.
Bounce - kerching (both bank & service provider make money on this)
Now I set up the Standing order on the internet banking portal; which leaves me in absolute control (phone & stop the day before if necessary).
The bank give a guarantee on (V) DD - and to be fair incorrect DD are refunded pretty damn quick; but a correct amount that is only taken early is NOT covered; even if it has caused unauthorised OD with the various charges both taken by the bank AND the payee.
It amazes me banks and companies are so incompetent they
a) can not accurately record instructions regarding date of payments
b) have such incompetent IT departments they can only schedule bank runs once a month.
It is just idleness; ignorance and a dirty way to garner extra money; and there is NO excuse for it0 -
here is a great discussion man thanks.0
