Beause it's completely different to actually having to get up, get dressed, eat breakfast, shower, etc?

Why do you have such problems with perfectly ordinary things? I thought you had an eyesight problem. i am literally blind without my glasses but can still get out of bed and attend to my various needs.

I am also colour blind. I see everything differently to everyone else, I have no depth perception, no 3D vision, I have poor balance and no co-ordination, etc.

Even using a screen reader, she has managed to post in excess of 20 posts a day on this forum alone - that is a hell of a lot considering the multiple health problems this person apparently has.

Actually, it's not that much. Posting on a forum, using a screen reader and a laptop, actually takes a lot less energy than being in a direct social situation. I find so, at any rate. I make several posts a day here and on other forums, but I couldn't talk with that many people in a day, because I'd be utterly exhausted by the time I'd put in the effort for three or four, usually, even on a good day.

Forum posting can be done from one's bed quite easily. You don't need to expend the energy necessary to get out of bed, wash, dress, take pills, remember everything you need to take out with you, follow the conversation in your head and pay attention to everything everyone says in case you miss it, while also using the correct body language and trying to make adequate, intelligent input into said conversation.

Here, you can go back and check what you said or what someone else said. You can rephrase if you need to, type slowly, take time to think and respond. In 'offline life' I forget what I've said myself within a couple of minutes, and struggle to concentrate, to process audio and keep track of the flow of any given conversation, even the inane ones. It's a lot more difficult than you might think.

Of course you would - once you have made damn sure it would be impossible for a potential employer to meet your needs.

Lucky for me that that the law treats people with respect unlike judgemental people on a forum who take an instant dislike to you.

Funny you should say that as I am in bed & I haven't gotten dressed for a few days now & no it's not because i'm lazy it's because i'm depressed.

I find this too. Plus, I also have problems with my neck and shoulders, so standing for too long, (which varies) my body goes stiff - causing severe pain.

I honestly thought employees were supposed to meet the needs and requirements of the person paying the wages, not the other way round.

There must have been an industrial revolution since I retired.

What are you doing to ensure you have the capability to earn enough to support your family? Your family, your job to support them. Work, unlike benefits, does not pay employees extra depending on their circumstances.

I'm autistic & suffering from major depression after spending the a 1/3 of my life waiting for my cancer to come back & 4 years fighting for the treatment that other people seem to be automatically entitled to.

Obviously you have no empathy or you would understand how I feel.

It seems to me that there is a gang on here admittedly there is only 4 or 5 of you in that gang that like to try to bully people that you personally deem not ill enough to be on sickness/disability even though the DWP does.

Maybe you should be writing to your mp rather than picking on individuals with mental health problems.

Oh wait, if you do that how will you get your kicks.

    LOL.

MSE is a hypochondriacs dream site. Not only will it tell you all the signs and symptoms of almost everything it will also tell you how best to fill in the DLA claim forms to capitalise on it.

That's actually an extremely rare side effect of a rare condition. No-one (to my knowledge) on MSE has this problem.
