HTC Desire

I've got the HTC Desire. Much cheaper than an iPhone and has got the same functionality ... plus more.
I like it because :
- I can drag and drop files to it via USB without installing anything on my PC
- You can develop and deploy applications on it without the hassle of Apple's rules which they make up randomly
- The signal isn't dependent on how you hold it or what direction the wind is blowing
- I got it for free on a £20/month contract
- It supports Flash
- The battery is user replaceable/upgradeable
- It takes memory cards so I can decide how much space I need and buy a card to suit
For me the battery lasts 1-2 days but like most high-end smart phones you need to have a charger handy.0 -
Thanks guys,
Read the posts, hope i didn't upset anyone i was merely unsure what to get. :-)
Clearly the apple guy feels strongly it's suprisingy to know that OS 4.0 isn't even all that Lol
Multitasking, don't make me laugh?? not even true!
Being told by a manufacturer how to hold your phone is plain embarassing, show's the boffin's at Apple are a tad bit silly :-) One of the reasons why i wouldn't shell out for a phone, that doesn't even support Flash and uses HTML 5 which i must say is not gonna take off for the next few months.
I presume Google still uses that anyways!0 -

Matt - can I ask where you got it for £20 a month please? I'm at renewal now with T-Mobile and they are offering me it for £30 a month (which is exactly the same as I've been paying for the last 18months, so no contract reduction)0 -

if you upgrade direct through t mobile they wont budge on £30 a month go through chitter chatter or another reseller. Quoting a tmobile shop salesman "there is no difference between a new and upgrading customer for the htc desire both pay £30 a month" what a joke0
