just one more day until the weekend (thank goodness)...

tis arts week (translation tis lets make the teachers work like Trojans for the ENTIRE week planning and supervising ARTS activities day in day out until they beg for mercy) and Little Miss M in my class dropped the mixed up diluted PVA and sloshes half a container full on the carpet. Apparently she said 'bloody hell'...and Mrs W (aka your very own Valli) said 'I think I'd have said that if I'd have dropped it!'...have FAR better things to do than deal with second hand reports of oaths and curses...

What usually happens is I get a report such as 'Gervaise sweared'. The 'reporting' child is then treated to a grammar lesson and I say 'Gervaise swore'. At this point Gervaise will hotly interject 'No I didn't' :rotfl:

(By the way I do not teach, nor have I ever taught, a Gervaise;))

    House is a tip *sigh*

HHC anyone?...gonna do my best 'Fly with a blue behind' impression and do some much needed clearing.

And great to have you back Lady Liberty - what weather eh? so un-Glasto like!

I'm now half way through the boarder, hubby can sort Rhys for bed and kids can stay out for awhile yet.

    WM reloaded again.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • TBH, Piggers, I'm on the hefty side all of the time :D, so no need to explain!

    I HATE THE HEAT.

Have just stomped into living room and removed power supply from cable box as DD2 has been refusing to pick up her clean washing from the bedroom floor for 4 days now. Every time I stop hovering over her (because she loses the plot when I do), she stops picking stuff up.

I have coursework to do, I shouldn't need to stand over her screaming like a demented four year old. And I am sorely tempted to just thwack her one, not because it would help, but because I am a bad parent sick of being undermined by ill mannered brats who squirm and distract and deviate and go whining to Daddy that Mummy's really horrible and can they go and live with them. KH2 just said 'well, pick up all her stuff and throw it out'. How IN BLUE BLAZES does me picking it up for her solve the problem?

I hate children. Should have got a puppy and pursued the music instead.

Yeah!!! LL is back! Hope you had a good time. Can my children stop eating yogurt with a fork now???? xx

Afraid I've not read much more than that and will try and catch up now. I've done very little today as at hopsice and walking froglets but I did loads yesterday. The conservatory was washed within an inch of it's life! The roof, the walls, the blinds, the windows, the floors. It looks fab. Typical of me thought...all or nothing! Now for the next room!

Hope you're all well. Hugs where needed. Valli - your post made me crack up! I love your tales of daily happenings xx

Well, my HHC after the school run was interesting. Popped to the shop for a few bits on the way back from school and as we got to the house I realised I didn't have my keys!!!! Phoned OH and he was just leaving Swansea, so sat in the garden for 35 mins till he came home!!
Came in threw food in oven, told DD to get changed, threw the hoover round, fed DD, got changed (was all hot and bothered!!) and off we went to TKD!!!!
When we came home OH had come back(again) and dried the dishes I washed earlier and put them all away :)
    .

Toots I like your advice to longtimelurker and will have to take some it on board too, I always seem to be rushing about on a Friday getting it all done before going down the van.....

Spoke to one of the mums this evening and we are hoping to have a night out at the end of term, so I get to wear my new dress!!!!

Hope you are all well and hugs to those in need or just want one xx

Having a chill out now and catch up with everything xx

Missed the spam, but just wanted to say to jojo, have a long cold drink in a room far from everyone and then declare that you are on strike!!!!! Have a ((hug)) too xx
  • I'm hated now. She has just told me so.

Caught her in the kitchen, deciding to do herself her drinks for tomorrow at school instead. She went off shouting that she would have them in her room instead. I removed them from her and she started crying and screeching that she hated me. I walked away and came back with the linen bin to be snarled at 'GO AWAY!'.

So I have just turned off her stereo, removed her iPod, MP3 player, laptop and phone.

She is now sobbing yet again.

    8 more years to go....

You really do get less time for murder.
