I HATE THE HEAT.
Have just stomped into living room and removed power supply from cable box as DD2 has been refusing to pick up her clean washing from the bedroom floor for 4 days now. Every time I stop hovering over her (because she loses the plot when I do), she stops picking stuff up.
I have coursework to do, I shouldn't need to stand over her screaming like a demented four year old. And I am sorely tempted to just thwack her one, not because it would help, but because I am a bad parent sick of being undermined by ill mannered brats who squirm and distract and deviate and go whining to Daddy that Mummy's really horrible and can they go and live with them. KH2 just said 'well, pick up all her stuff and throw it out'. How IN BLUE BLAZES does me picking it up for her solve the problem?
I hate children. Should have got a puppy and pursued the music instead.
hugs and positive vibes!
unfortunately the member of our household behaving like a 12 yearold is OH at the moment! All he can contribute are sarcastic comments atm:( - and he's had 2 days off to watch cricket (Yorkshire second 11 have been playing in York ).
Never mind - have day trip to Leeds to look forward to in August!:T:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
hello all,
oops, not going to get much done tonight and tomorrow, have sister's birthday meal tomorrow evening and tonight been to see Grandma at the home and now have to do some bridesmaidly duties for me friend getting wed in September. BUT I do have a day off on Friday :T:j:Tso will hopefully catch up (including oven clean - I'm very ashamed of the state of mine but have bought some caustic stuff for it - will borrow some safety goggles from work:cool:)
Take care everyone:beer:0 -
I left washing out today while at work with instructions to DS (has now 'left' school thanks to GCSEs) to 'keep an eye on it and bring it in if dry or if it started to rain...
Booger me!
In the laundry basket beautifully folded...
I shan't be up Cas Vegas this weekend Pen as I am going out, on Saturday, with 'the girls' as it was a birthday...I already got it put back a week...we're going to a restaurant which is also a wine merchants and shall be having wine tasting. If I do 'pop' up it'll be a flying visit (lol at own wit) and I won't be out shopping;)
I shall be hanging around a certain M1 Junction on Friday though
Jo-jo...if you can bear it leave the washing on the floor...have a deadline by which it must be in the basket for washing. (Mine's friday night) Then if it isn't in it doesn't get done. I find it VERY irritating when washing hits the basket after the dealine (because am a [STRIKE]anal [/STRIKE]good flylady and want it ALL washed and ironed) but it's the only way they learn. I don't shout any more...just remind them of the deadline. But yes they are hard work...check my profile;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

And podiatry had moved to another building and not told us.. I forgot that bit.. the old building is boarded up and noone there!! insane it is!! The new building is horrible... all open plan with a TINY waiting area and right underneath the glass roof so it was revoltingly hot.. I was almost sick it was horrible!
Anyway.. I have decided I have MORE than enough on this week so we will run the gauntlet and go to Ikea next week.. probably Wednesday (Monday and Tuesday are booked already).. and I will go to Oh's mums this weekend.. I can't refuse to go as that means OH might not see his mum for weeks.. it has been 4 weeks so far.. I just feel it would be unfair.. at least if I go there I won't be doing anything other than being feed and watered.. whereas at home I might get the urge to decorate the girls room.. lol The baby might not turn up for a few weeks yet and I won't be accused of not letting him go.. though we are looking at 3 weeks at best probably..
Flying today has consisted of loading the DW.. I am so terrible!!
I best go find food for the grots and maybe put the bunnies out for a bit.. they were kept in yesterday as it was just so hot the poor things would have melted to furry puddles.
Mince and new potatoes it is tonight.. quick easy and stretchy food!!! lol
trust OH knows where the maternity unit in Stockport is?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Flitting through - just catching up with the news.
I've done the livingroom, hall and the kitchen today:D - so all, the downstairs really. I only did that this morning because it was chucking it down with rain.
After coffee we had sun again, so I spent an hour on the allotment with DD and DS2, and we got an amazing amount of work done.
This afternoon we went into town, so that DS2 could buy the suit he was coveting for Leavers' Assembly and any other formal events. My baby all grown up...
I'm in school all day tomorrow, working with my HoD on new Schemes of Work for Years 8 and 9. Year 7 next Wednesday. Then, an immensely exciting INSET day on Thursday. A whole morning on Safeguarding. Sigh. Essential, but deeply boring. I can't stand the woman in charge of it in the school.
Love and hugs to Lady-Liberty, toots and Diva. :hello:To all my flylady friends! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
