Toots Thanks for the advice and support about my son. You are a very wise woman (I am assuming you are a woman:o) We are getting there with him.

I would like to be in again this week but I am struggling with it all. I can't seem to get on top of the cleaning or the lack of money. I'm really worried about how we will manage and that makes me want to just hide away and not do anything.
Sorry for my whinging, many of you have much worse problems but it's nice to have an anonymous moan.
longtermlurker yes the last time i checked i was a woman - but WISE ......you have to be kidding:rotfl:

Ok young lady - first things first stop apologising - we all have problems of one sort or another and nobodys is any greater or worse - they are all important/worrying/troublesome to each of us in whatever way it affects us - having a moan is good and we are all here to support each other.
Ok No.2 lack of money ....... i am guessing you have done a budget - if not you should - try Martins budget tool its great - and see where your money leakages are and see what you can do to curb it. Money problems are very worrying but you can make yourself ill and miserable over it - get some advice if you can - you can always post on the Debt free board (and read some of the threads there - they are inspiring) or if its very bad what about the Citizens advice Board - they would make sure you are claiming evrything you are entitled to. Or you could start a thread if there is a specific problem that you need help with. My only income is benefits due to my health and I know how tough things can be so do the sums and see where you stand.
Right now to No. 3 the cleaning .......... you are stressed with everything at the moment so cleaning is getting left and things get worse and you just sit and look at it and get more depressed......sounds familiar - honey a lot of us have been there - me included and believe me you can sort it out.
maybe you need a bit more structure to your routine/day. have you a dailies list (things you do everyday)? write it down in roughly the order you do it and try to get that done first thing in the morning before anything happens.
there are lots of little things that can help through the day - wash the dishes after each meal/snack so that you dont end up with a sinkful
    - dont put it down put it away (always try to put away what you were using instead of putting it on the nearest flat surface)
    - dirty washing goes in the dirty washing basket when taken off - not the floor
    - clean washing gets put away or on the ironing pile
    - use an egg timer and set it for even just 15 mins and do something until it pings
    - toys get put away at bedtime (by the owner if poss)
    - packed lunches are made up the night before
-clothes are laid out for the next day
    - any money thats needed is sorted the night before

in between meal times and school runs try and do the 1st level of the list for that day - dont try to do everything - just take one job and do it until its finished.

what exactly is it that you feel you are not coping with?

we will get you organised if you let us:rotfl:

    afternoon everyone
its been dry and a bit cooler here today

funfairprincess hope you can get FiL tempted into eating (((hugs)))
pigpen how annoying - over an hour wasted because they cant get the appointment right.
LameWolf did I say welcome back ....cant remember - welcome back anyway - glad you had a good time - when is you next furry coming?
LadyL hope you still feel good after the festival - is your head still buzzing with the music? take it slowly angel xxxx
Ginger Snap I have just noticed your weight loss - thats brilliant - well done to you and for doing the Race for Life.:T
Mumto5 lasagne? try to not get stressed over the holiday or you will be exhausted when you start - deal with any packing etc you can while DH is away and as pigpen says there is always tescos or the post office or marks and spencers to get currency.

I was at Cornhill today and it was ok - we made strawberry jam and i finished the huge jigsaw we have been doing but I am very sad because one of our group has died. G started the week before me last year and we got on really well - he was a fighter right to the end. I will miss him.

better go see whats for tea

And podiatry had moved to another building and not told us.. I forgot that bit.. the old building is boarded up and noone there!! insane it is!! The new building is horrible... all open plan with a TINY waiting area and right underneath the glass roof so it was revoltingly hot.. I was almost sick it was horrible!

Anyway.. I have decided I have MORE than enough on this week so we will run the gauntlet and go to Ikea next week.. probably Wednesday (Monday and Tuesday are booked already).. and I will go to Oh's mums this weekend.. I can't refuse to go as that means OH might not see his mum for weeks.. it has been 4 weeks so far.. I just feel it would be unfair.. at least if I go there I won't be doing anything other than being feed and watered.. whereas at home I might get the urge to decorate the girls room.. lol The baby might not turn up for a few weeks yet and I won't be accused of not letting him go.. though we are looking at 3 weeks at best probably..

Flying today has consisted of loading the DW.. I am so terrible!!

I best go find food for the grots and maybe put the bunnies out for a bit.. they were kept in yesterday as it was just so hot the poor things would have melted to furry puddles.

Mince and new potatoes it is tonight.. quick easy and stretchy food!!! lol

DD's bed should be here tomorrow so thats one thing got, then i'll get something every week after that (budget allowing). Should have all her stuff got by end of July and then i can start boys room.:D

Another wall has been sanded in the kitchen, hubby away for a little snooze so i'll get him to give me a hand with the rest of the finish when he gets up.

Best shift myself and do something.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
  • Been in a stinky hot hotel all day on a course. Wm on and about to unload it. DH mowing lawn and says he is making risotto for dinner. Yum. Am starting a new regime where DDs clear up their toys before bed. They don't know this yet, Toots will be able to hear the tantrums oop north...
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
