Are you sure this is the way to proceed? I can visualise numerous separate reports being passed on and never being connected into a single thread. Is there no central body to which we can all submit our details (a financial regulator?) who may then help us to investigate what has actually happened before we assume a crime has been committed?

AFAIK there is no consumer protection for business decisions of this nature.
  • BMG are a limited company and I assume this means the director(s) have to lodge contact details somewhere. Does anyone know if there is a means of eliciting information about their whereabouts/intentions through this channel?

A £1 search at Companies House should provide this information.

I have created a Google group for those of us who want to move our discussions somewhere a bit more private. I request that only current investors with the Browne Mackenzie Group apply to join.

Unfortunately, as a new user to this site, I'm not able to post a direct link here and I'm also not able to test how those not registered might actually find the group - this is the first I've created!

If you find Google Groups and then search for 'BMG-way-ahead' I hope you'll be able to join. I think you'll also have to create a google account if you don't already have one.

Hi Harvestman. I to am in investor and also new to this site.I tried your group but no match was found. It also says you have to be "invited".
I was in weekly contact for about 8 weeks before they disappeared and was told some things by a Mr.Edward Burchett, which are probably false but interesting anyway.

I do feel sorry for anyone who has been tricked into "investing" but I'm a bit sceptical about the number of new posters who all suddenly found this thread...

They have been in touch with my husband about a month ago on the phone and have sent him the same type of paper work.Wanting him to buy land .Just out of the blue they called him...So what does that say?????????????
  • Hi Marion
The company has also been in touch with us about eight weeks ago trying to sell land near the A53. This is a little bit of a coincidence or strange!! We have got the names and addresses of the directors for BMG but these obviously could be false! We will now investigate Lawrence Taylor and co.
Harvestman--- We have also had difficulty getting onto the google page.
We investigated the ownership of the land earlier this year with the land registry and they confirmed that the land belonged to Browne Mackenzie. Have BMG sold it and run off!! Out of interest would genuine investors agree to meet up? I can't see any other way forward other than us all spending money doing the same thing.
  • Sorry about the difficulty of linking to the group. This site won't let me post a direct link so how about doing it this way:

In your browser type in the http up to the //
don't insert www but continue with "groups.google.com"
    then add "/group/bmg-way-ahead"

I have set the site so that new users can request an invitation to join. I'm going to be away from Friday until Monday so if I don't respond to your request over the weekend please be patient.
