Does depend on what you are hoping to achieve, it is very likely the company will simply liquidate if they think any sort of group action may be forthcoming. That is all assuming they have not already done so.

Have tried to join your Google Group by following your instructions but to no avail. Have reported my details to actionfraud, fsa, financial ombudsman, watchdog, etc. Am very interested in sharing stories/details first, to ascertain the best advice and way forward.
Maybe someone else has the IT skills to set up a Google Group for us that we can all access easily?

A number of people have managed to join the group using my instructions so keep trying.

Here is an example of land near me, which was divided up and sold in small lots to investors. They all got what they paid for, but there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of their getting any kind of development on this site....and £12.5k is, frankly, a laughable price for 0.25 acres of communal turf.

The immediate question that would occur to me in this situation is:

If someone has a plot of land which is going to treble in price over the next year or so, why the hell would they want to sell it?

Looks like pasture land, so that goes for say £2000 an acre round your way?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Err.... more like £5k/acre if good, though a paddock for Jemima's pony on a village edge, with convenience and hope value, would be considerably more.

Edit: Just checked. Smaller parcels - say 5 acres or so - go for more than that, it seems. Round here, we only get to around £5k/acre on larger parcels, or with a controlled tenancy in force.

Loads of "investment" plots for sale around me.
Originally sold by a land investment company, this plot is now offered up for resale by the original vendor who purchased with a view to a planning gain in the future.

This plot of investment land is ideal for the property investor and offers great potential returns in comparison to property, there are also minimal upfront costs as there is no stamp duty to pay and no tenant to find.

  • Hello fellow victims of Browne Mackenzie land scam,I was conned into investing in the Garshake road plot in Dumbarton,I did some homework at the time(April 2008) and BMG did own 3.27 hectares of the site they paid £150000 for it. other 4.1 hctrs belong to Dumbarton properties ltd. The title numbr is: D:DMB 80959 for BMG's plot.map ref NS4176SW-NS4176SE. (received from: customer.services@ROS.GOV.UK)
I have reported the fraud to the police and online to actionfraud.org as well as BBC watchdog, every one defrauded should do at least these 3 things. IMPORTANT:
DID ANYONE GET TITLE DEEDS FOR THE LAND? IF SO PLEASE POST THE SOLICITORS NAME AND OFFICE HERE AS THAT'S ANOTHER LEAD FOR THE POLICE AND ANY INVESTIGATORS (US!)
