Just did some sums and realized that my debt to income ratio is 25% after splashing out on all those driving lessons, car, and insurance. And having moved and found so much stuff just "disappeared"...

Have put my Sygma cards on repayment only (basically as if I'd opted out of an APR increase) and only carrying around my HSBC Debit card now. Feels much better this way.

Did a Barclaycard pre-app check today and said 70-80% Gold but I've only just moved so will wait until January until everything looks more stable and hopefully be able to get Sygma on to 0% for, what is it now with Barclaycard Platinum 24 months? At least my loan is flying down now, I think capital balance is around £3,000 which is great loving the 12.9% APR.

There aren't any SBT cards that search Equifax only are there?

Yeah. Hrmph. Never mind, Zopa rate is pretty good anyway and there's no overpayment charges

Btw know what other cards search equifax only apart from sygma ? sygma have turned me down strangely enough again - if i apply for the silver card say and got knocked back would i still be able to apply for a flybe without having to wait for 6 months ?

sygma 1 decline = auto decline on rest of credit lines

Barclaycard usually only search Equifax. They sometimes also search Experian, but it's very rare that they do.

I got the 70/80% chance of three of there cards this time round and i still got a knock back, they knocked me back 6 months ago too and they searched experian on both occasions

It's strange i got a credit card from my bank and sainsburys yet no one else will touch me.

Got my lovely letter from Halifax earlier "unfortunately" :rotfl: they can't action my request as the terms say I'm only allowed 1 sole and 1 joint account per person and I have 1.... If I need any information I can phone them

Tempted to now open one with someone else and make them open one for themselves too, so we can split all the money.... But another student would trash my credit rating because mine is so artificially inflated by using all these shocking cards to build it up over the last 2 years!!

Oh and talking of Barclaycard, they keep harassing me after I filled out that last pre-app check the other day, had at least 4 emails from them now! All reminding me about the (useless) results!

Yeah, I get that, too. At least they'll now say "You have a good chance of getting a Gold card" instead of "You stand a good chance of getting a Capital One Classic card" (woo bloomin hoo).

Might add them to my blocked senders list tho...
