Ok I'll call them. I'll look for older statements to see when my last increase was, just to make sure I'm not requesting it too early.
Even if it is too early they will tell you the date on when you will be eligable to apply for an increase
And depending on how close to that date they may allow an early increase (less than week before IME)

Ok it's been four months since my Silver was increased and just over two months since my Flybe. Going to call Silver first thing in the morning.

Not sure if it's worth applying for First Direct CC. I still have 20 searches on my Experian credit file...

Obviously bank accounts are easier to obtain then credit cards, but 20 searches On your report would look more negative than positive, but you never know depending what the rest of your report is like,my OH recently applied for first direct she did not have any searches but had about 4 late payments she then returned her application and got accepted probably because she would be paying in nearly 2k a month, but later cancelled it and went to barclays.

I've not looked at the website you provided but make sure they aren't brokers.. otherwise they'll be demanding some cash from you before they forward your application to lenders which may very well be declined.

EDIT: Yes they are a broker. Which means they would usually tell you you've been accepted, demand a fee of £50 or so from you then once you pay, they forward your application to actual lenders who will still credit score you which could be declined. I'd strongly advise against using loan brokers. If you've paid any sort of fee, write to them and demand a refund (I'm sure they are legally obliged to refund you however I could be wrong).

It's been very quiet lately, everyone busy with christmas shopping?

I hate christmas myself, a pointless holiday although I can't deny that I enjoy the break from uni.

Sygma in my experience is as follows:

No credit limit increase until the account is open for 3 months, then was told maximum is £1000 increase every four months. My creation and Flybe cards taken out in August now have limits up from 5k to 6k, had to request on line. Asked for 6.5k (30%) as per earlier posts but was told the limit was 1k increments and to re apply, which I did successfully for both. Hope this helps.
  • Hi

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I applied for a vanquis card in late November and never heard anything. When I phoned them to chase they said they needed to see original identity documents (ie a passport and utility bill). This will be because I moved into my house at the beginning of October and don't yet appear on the electoral roll but I am suspicious of sending ID documents in the post.

Does anyone else have experience of this and is it safe? I have certified copies that were done for me to open my RBS account but they won't accept these.

    thanks
