Has anyone tried getting their Halifax max overdraft limit since their website has been update? The request page has changed, and I don't want it to actually submit an application for £9999 so haven't tried it yet!

I've not looked at the website you provided but make sure they aren't brokers.. otherwise they'll be demanding some cash from you before they forward your application to lenders which may very well be declined.

EDIT: Yes they are a broker. Which means they would usually tell you you've been accepted, demand a fee of £50 or so from you then once you pay, they forward your application to actual lenders who will still credit score you which could be declined. I'd strongly advise against using loan brokers. If you've paid any sort of fee, write to them and demand a refund (I'm sure they are legally obliged to refund you however I could be wrong).

You are correct in that they are indeed a broker but they do not charge a fee.

Loans2Drive will submit your details to a panel of lenders and find you the cheapest quote, they make a commision on the finance and whilst you search for your car you deal with them directly not the lender.

Once you have signed the finance paper on the dealers premises (no cooling of period if you do this) they hand the account over to the lender.

Remember they are sourcing SECURED car finance which regardless of credit score is still easy to obtain in the current climate.

The following has changed for me...

    Important information about your overdraft
What type of credit is an overdraft facility?

An arranged overdraft is a short-term borrowing facility on your current account and is provided by Bank of Scotland plc (Halifax is part of Bank of Scotland plc), The Mound, Edinburgh EH1 1YZ.

What is the total amount of credit?

We will decide your credit limit and tell you what it is. We may change it at any time and we'll let you know about any change.
and a whole lot more has been added in a text box

Plus Have you read and understood the terms? Yes/No

    then the submit button

And if you still input £9999 it will still tell you what is your maximum overdraft limit

Thanks, I tried it the other day and it didn't load so didn't want to do it again, just incase I was being searched and it recorded I wanted £9999!! Wasn't sure if it was my connection or they'd sent it for referral or something

It's gone up to 5k now  I've been provisionally accepted for Natpest card again though (subject to AVU). If that goes through AVU (highly doubt it....) then I guess others (including Halifax) might get scared with me already having 4 cards!

    Bump.

How did you get on with AVU, Zack?

Your signature states "£374.40 away from £12.5k by 2011", what is this?

Still waiting, only sent it back on Thursday. Because of mail redirection the first I'd hear anything about it is today, and that's only if they decided quickly. Said 10 working days in my letter.

I need to close one, but it comes down to Sygma or Capital One... Are the Equifax free reports and the identity watch thing automatically stopped when you leave Cap1? That's the only reason I'm still with them...

Professional gambling :D Probably not going to make it though thanks to the Premier League and Health & Safety gone mad...

I closed my cap1 classic 4-5 months ago & still have access to equifax via their identity watch.
In need of a new signature! :rotfl:

Yes I'd suspect the identity thing will stop after a year when they'll want their renewal fee and I doubt Capital One will pay that for you. Choose whichever has the lowest APR, this is moneysaving after all. :p

So you've made 12k already? How much did you spend/lose to get that? Or in other words, how much of the 12k is profit? If it's easy money, I may try it myself although I know absolutely nothing about gambling.
