Yes rang up at 2pm to put buy, drove across to Telford. I walked in and they processed it, it took 30 mins from Start to finish! Very good experience!

I think I may be getting sensible. I went to the store, had some eyegasms at an Apple computer, 27 inch at £1649.. hugged it, and walked away.

Usually, I'd just buy stuff without a second thought. Strange, !!!!!! is up with me.

    LOL.

I want an iPad/brick if the strongly rumoured stuff about flash turns out to be true - then get one of those £5 a month data deals (or take advantage of my £10 PAYG one if I can find a way to put a cut sim in my normal phone!) and cut the sim down :D Would be well good to use on the train.

Student Finance really are donkeys. 3 days before I'm due to be paid, and they're yet to determine my "full entitlement", despite the fact my circumstances mean I automatically get the whole lot. Fools! Oh well, epic payout when they make their minds up and backdate it :rotfl:

Oh and only they could send a letter dated the 14th (direct to my halls too) that arrives today!!!

Vanquis are p!ssing me off. Ok so I applied for a Vanquis card on my mums behalf (she kept getting declined from them) but this time, it was approved. They called her mobile but it only rang twice and she couldn't get to the phone on time so she phoned customer services and said they just wanted to ask some security questions and the card will be sent out. They tried transferring her to the correct department but no one was available.

They called back again today but her mobile only rang once and was barely enough time to open her bag to fetch it.

I'm having her call customer services again before they cancel her application.

The iPhone 4 went on sale in China yesterday. It doesn't make sense... China makes the phones, but doesn't get to buy them until months after the rest of the world has one?

I bought an ultra mobile mini notebook yesterday (it weighs less than the bones in my hand and fits in my pocket) and I'm blaming Sutton for aggravating my technology addiction with his iPad! :rotfl::rotfl:

When I opened my RBS student account, I also applied for the student credit card.

Today, I receive a letter saying "Thank you for setting up a direct debit on your RBS Classic Mastercard account.". Firstly, I never set up a direct debit, and it doesn't say whether it is set up to take the minimum or full payment. Secondly, Classic Mastercard? I applied for the student credit card!

Maybe they have hidden it somewhere that for the student credit card, you agree that they set up a DD (surely they know your account number/sort code)? Can you check the direct debits on the online banking? Although the mandate will never say that, on the bank's side - so check the card's settings as well.

When my OH activated the card with Cap1, they insisted that it's required to have a direct debit setup - it never was for me...? Then again, I simply said I don't have those details with me, and I'll use the online interface later. I'm sure we could cancel it anytime.

Maybe they don't have different types of marketing material for the cards...
    Enjoy the silence...

They never asked for income for me, but they may do, they put home maker for for me the income when blank.
