Oh why not get one of them!! I love them too. It's a 59 plate, really good cars!

How difficult is the finance to get?

Well, they don't ask for your income so they rely purely on the information on your credit report.

I guess if your credit report is good, then they'll accept you.

The car dealer I was buying a car from searched 6 different finance companies and only one of them (Nissan) accepted. The others wanted parents to sign because they didn't like my age.

So have you tried for VW finance? What company is that which don't ask for income?

I don't think any finance company asks for income details. They don't care if you can afford it or not.. they will either get paid or they'll take the car back.

I finally got my Capital One card today, however I have a few questions....
    • is it normal for them to have only 18 months life on them? My Vanquis is 3 years, as are all my bank debit cards
    • I asked about the 0% on purchases until November, computer said no?
    • Do I get free one free credit report a year or something?
I also had a letter from Granite Card today confirming what I already knew - as I have a Vanquis product, I cannot apply for another ;)

Hmmm interesting.... I'd be tempted for that but finance on a first car might not be the smartest move... I want one where you get free insurance but you have to be 21 in a lot of the ads I saw when I looked before :( And at 21 the price crashes so it wouldn't be worth it. I'm getting 1,800 quotes now, putting I'm 21, held license for 3 years and never driven got me down to £495, and that's with very very basic comparison, if I'd shopped around I'm sure it's even less :O

Yep, mine expires 06/2012 IIRC, like my Natpest one was due to. They'll send you another one. It might trigger an account review, but it's not a way to get rid of you because under the terms of the CCA they could do that whenever they wanted to.

As for the free credit report, you get 2 per 12 month period. I used the 1st one in November, the 2nd one in March and now have to wait until November when it's reset :) You also get their alerting service
