I don't think any finance company asks for income details. They don't care if you can afford it or not.. they will either get paid or they'll take the car back.

You and zach are going to end up being bankrupt like izools looking at £15k cars with no job..

Erm jog on. Firstly that's none of your business how me or Elky conduct our financial affairs. Secondly I'm going into Accounting & Finance, somehow the bankrupt accountant would make an amazing book but it would also render me unemployable! And thirdly.... My outstanding balances total.......... £0. I also said I was looking for the insurance packages - insurance is pushing 2k a year, 3 years "free" insurance = ~£5k value depending on car, deduct that from the cost as you've saved it and you're looking at a much cheaper car! Martin even wrote about it last year when those deals were big!

Oh you were the fool that said if I'm lucky somebody might give me over £300 by this time next year.... 3 days later I got £500 from Aqua without asking for it, and I'll get more from Sygma soon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I finally got my Capital One card today, however I have a few questions....
    • is it normal for them to have only 18 months life on them? My Vanquis is 3 years, as are all my bank debit cards
    • I asked about the 0% on purchases until November, computer said no?
    • Do I get free one free credit report a year or something?
I also had a letter from Granite Card today confirming what I already knew - as I have a Vanquis product, I cannot apply for another ;)

Mine is only 18 months too.

If they want to become bankrupt that's up to them. Don't worry yourself about such issues.

Cheers Zack, just got my credit report, looking good, one late payment back in April to Orange for an account that is settled and should never have been marked as late, so im gonna go to Orange to get that removed, apart from that all Green [0]'s (even for ones I feel I may have been slightly late on) - I also have 5 searches in past 5 months at current address and 3 at previous....but 14 in past year....4 to drop off in 2 months....I do feel that Experian data will be somewhat worse though!

one query though, I have 16 credit accounts (I dont as some are settled) but when do these drop off? Is it 6 years? I also noticed now I have been here for three years, companys aint checking my old addresses, does that mean they can see defaults from there or not?

also, does anyone know who Express Gifts - Studio (I) are? I have an inactive account with them? It says Mail Order Company? it has a not updated for Jan, Feb and Mar then a Zzz for Apr, May, Jun and Jul.....does this class as a credit account?

Where did I say I'm guaranteed a job in 'Accounting & financing'? Or even Accounting or maybe even Finance...... Go on show me a post which says I'm guaranteed a job?

If the car is 10k, and lets say insurance would be 5k... that's essentially 5k for the car as you're not paying insurance.... even if you sell it on after 3 years for 5k that means you've driven it around for 3 years for 5k - I know many people paying near enough that to drive around "standard" cheap 2nd hand cars!

Learning about accounts - specifically auditing, and one of the reasons I gave in my interview was Portsmouth FC and their lack of sustainable planning (if you don't know what I'm on about, go and look them up).... you seriously think I'd be stupid enough to get myself into any kind of financial trouble? Hahaha, you really do make me laugh! Stand up comedy for you I'm thinking! :rotfl:

6 years from the date of closure when your settled ones will drop off. As for seeing old CCJs, they may see it from the public (court) records search

Studio mail order company.... that could be 24 studio? http://www.24studio.co.uk/ I've got an account with them. The zzz is unused, probably for a pretty significant period of time to have zzz?

No you don't though - you take stabs at people with your totally unfounded accusations! You have absolutely nothing to justify it! I said I'm INTERESTED in that - of course I'd do affordability calculations before buying anything, especially something of that value! :rotfl:

You don't know me or my mindset and to suggest I'm on the path to bankruptcy based on the fact I want a nice car is disgraceful! I've just been given £500 on a credit card and £250 on another... My bill between them at the end of the month.... £130~. To me that's not the spending pattern of somebody who's looking to go bankrupt!! Clown
